Luxembourg City recs?
We are going to drive there tomorrow and spend the day checking out the city and hopefully enjoying some sun. Anything we must see on our first trip there? We have 3 kids, 2 under 2, so needs to be stroller or carrier friendly. Thanks!
We were only there a couple of days, and it was during Christmas season so we spent a bit of time in the Christmas market, which won't be there this time of year.
One thing that was kind of neat, if you like walking in the park and such... there is a little "valley" below the main boulevard that connects the side with the main train station and "downtown." Looking at the map, it's the Valle de la Petrusse under the Adolphe Bridge. I ran there before dawn one morning (a ton of other runners)... it's very peaceful and quiet.
There's also some very nice parks ... lots of walkways and tall trees, playgrounds for kids. And they all seemed to be just a block or two off of the big boulevards. We did visit Vianden Castle but just missed going in, since we got there a little late.
Other than a lot of smokers, it's a very charming place. I hope you enjoy your trip!
