    Question about the Zephyr Sizing

    Exterior dimensions of the Zephyr: 16.7" x 12.4" x 6.3" / 425mm x 320mm x 160mm Volume = 17.5
    Exterior Dimensions of the ID: 15.75 x 12 x 5.5" / 400 x 310 x 140mm Volume = 20.9?
The Zephyr is listed as bigger in every dimension, yet has a lower stated volume, what's up?

Hmmm, I have not had my hands on the ID, but some of the difference may be in the way the bags are padded. The text makes it look like the ID is only padded along the back, but the Zephyr has quarter inch padding all the way around which takes a half inch each direction out of the volume of the bag.

The other number that I question is the volume on the front section of the bag. It is quoted as the same as the Empire Builder but the outside dims are I am not sure how that could be. If you factor the two of those issues together that may address the issue.

I just finished reviewing the Zephyr on my blog and it will hold a whole lot of stuff...
