They're fantastic - thanks so much!
It holds A4 paper nicely - I use it to carry papers.
Yay! A video I can watch! I'm partially deaf and dependent on captions. The automatic ones are dreadful!
Tom Bihn uses a bar tack machine - a bar tack is much, much stronger than some sort of box stitch!
I'll see if I can set one up next time I'm at the Museum!
I use one of mine in a lab I work in around once a fortnight. (In a museum, working on the marine invertebrate collections.) Holds my forceps, dissecting needle, pens, wipes, scissors, jar opener,...
This is my problem with deliveries as well - there's a big secure fence at home and no-one at home a lot of the time, so deliveries can't be made to home. I'm not allowed to get personal deliveries...
Awww! I have a Little Swift in Kiwi, another in Forest, another in Cardinal, another in Navy, a second one in Kiwi that lives at work for when I need a small bag to carry work stuff.... I also have a...
Yay! I have a big order in now alas, so I won't be able to do a test run. Am very pleased though to be able to do a small order for reasonable cost.
Any idea how long the trial run will last for?...
An Aeronaut, a Swift, 6 Shop Bags, and an assortment of packing cubes and stuff sacks gets expensive quick!
The order is all Dyneema, too. Lotsa Nordic. :+>
I've just done my order, north of $800 to justify the shipping cost. GST kicks in at a total of A$1,000 so I keep my orders under that limit.
Still got some room in this order (and its delayed by...
Just placed my latest order! A Nordic Aeronaut and a Nordic Swift, plus all the packing cubes and lots of other acessories.
$65 delivery to Australia is painful, though.
Now I have to wait...
We did a 3 month trip 4 years ago, and we both kept a detailed diary. That diary got emailed to workmates, friends and family in lieu of postcards, and each year I re-read the diary for that day on...
Yay - does that mean I should start an order up and have it held until my all-green Swift is available? Kiwi/Wasabi would be better than Forest/Wasabi, by the way - more light in the interior - but...
Please, an all-green version for lovers of green?
A lot of ballpoints have really nasty ink. A builder friend was telling me about his problems with them - a client had a small mark on a wall (thanks to a child) and a painter sanded it back and...
I'm another vote for bringing Solar back.
They are hiking boots. Very comfortable.
I'm very attached to my New Balance 978s. Comfortable, comes in various widthsm, and waterproof!
It's a matter of planning what to carry where. I use one side pocket for my spare keys and a pouch with all my USB keys (I get the USBs out once or twice a day), the other side pocket for the...
I take a large Yarn Stuff Sack and use that for smelly dirty washing. As I go I progressively pack things to one side only of the packing cubes which leaves space in my bag for the yarn stuff sack.
I am really, really hoping Wasabi will be paired with Forest and Conifer. They will be beautiful together.
I love, love, love Wasabi!
My home town too!
We have excellent museums, galleries, zoos and a good aquarium here, if those things are your thing. I would also consider a trip to Phillip Island to see the "Penguin Parade"....
My years-old Synapse has some of this going on, but it's never leaked.
The actual fabric on yours looks rather worn - what are you doing to it? It looks as if it has been rubbed with sandpaper!
Thanks for looking into it, Darcy. I suspect your past bad experiences were to do with Surface Mail, a service which is no longer available from USPS.
The postal serice is notoriously poor in...
