    Swivel type carabiner

    Hello everyone!

I've been searching online for the rotating carabiner used on a 3D organizer cube to attach to the airplane seat back used in this video by Tom Bihn.

I cannot find it. Does anyone know who makes them and what they are called?

Those were by Tom Bihn, and they don't sell them anymore that I can see. They used to be in the "PARTS" section of the site. A similar design can be purchased here:

The medium ones sold by TB were made by a company called Tyny Tools, but that company seems to have gone dark

I have some of these in multiple sizes and love them... the mini ones are bigger than the ones TB used to carry but they would do the trick.

They are made by Woojin, the same company that makes the Gatekeeper clips, but I couldn't find a retailer.

According to the knitting tool pouch page, the double carabiner is sold with the pouches. You could always contact customer service and ask if they will sell the carabiners separately.

"Each pouch features an O-ring on its corner, allowing you to connect the Knitting Tool Pouches to the included Wasabi Double Carabiner (one Double Carabiner is included per order of Knitting Tool Pouches; if you order one Knitting Tool Pouch, you’ll receive one Double Carabiner. If you order three Knitting Tool Pouches, you’ll receive one Double Carabiner.)"

Here's how I worked that out: a small split ring and a mini s-biner on the SE external o-rings.

Somewhere in the Forums when this was discussed last, I think they said that they can't get them anymore, that's why they're not on the parts page... they're using the last of them on the pouches...

I bought a couple off of Amazon. My local Ace Hardware store also carries them.

Any small, toy-like ‘biner will secure a bag to an airline seat,,especially if the bag features those great o-rings. I got my non-climbing carabiners at REi 20 years ago. They probably don’t have that model any longer.

The Tyny Tools website still shows availability for the large size in the green and orange colors. Scroll to the bottom of the page (and wear sunglasses).

Another option is a Hero clip. They come in different sizes and swivel as well. I keep one in each of my bags all the time because of how handy they are.
    Bags - S25 (Mars Red balistic/Northwest sky/halcyon), S19 (Deep blue balistic/Iberian/halcyon). SCB (Nordic)
Accessories - Nik's #4 wallets, Q-kits, pouches, stuff sacks, travel trays.

I'd also suggest you check out the Nite-Ize magnetic locking dual carabiner. Haven't used them myself but might work well for this application. Nite-Ize makes good quality products in my experience.
