Just a quick one here: When was the CP available in black with wasabi?

Here is a review I found of a Black (non-dyneema) exterior and Wasabi interior version:

some drumm : The Man Purse (http://somedrumm.blogspot.ca/2013/07/the-man-purse.html)

This review was done in 2013. As for when the Black Ballistic / Wasabi Dyneema combo was last available, I will need to defer to the memory of @moriond - she must be a DBA of sorts!

Hope this helps

Actually, I always liked the pictures that @bchaplin put up of her Black (Ballistic Nylon)/Wasabi Co-Pilot and the comparison with her Steel Pilot in this thread (http://forums.tombihn.com/photos-videos-and-reviews/7228-pilot-co-pilot.html). There was even nice box art (http://forums.tombihn.com/photos-videos-and-reviews/6375-box-art-co-pilot-i-am-ready-go.html).

I think that the Black Ballistic Nylon/Wasabi combination for the Co-Pilot was available last year in the batch they made up in summer time, and remained available through the fall, but sold out before Christimas. Since then, it has only been available in Black/Steel, as they concentrated on other new color combinations (like Verde, Coyote, and Burnt Orange). So basically, it was available about a year ago.

What is a "DBA"?

DBA is an IT term for DataBase Administrator. This person designs how data is stored (like an electronic filing cabinet or Encyclopedia) so it can be retrieved easily and accurately as per requirements.

You are a TB "Database" and its "Administrator" all in one! An example of database software includes Oracle ... perhaps another apt name? :)

BTW - I love the box art on your box @bchaplin - amazing looking hotel - I NEED to go to Dubai!

Thanks, @moriond. For what its worth, I still have the steel/uv Pilot but have since traded the black/wasabi Co-Pilot for a black/steel one. Oddly, I have found that I prefer the steel interior. I have a lot of colored accessories and I don't need to worry about anything clashing. It is small enough that I don't really need a brightly colored interior. I know where everything is and can usually find it by feel. It is a great bag.

I have a Swift with a wasabi lining and I like the bright color because it makes everything stand out against it. Otherwise I have "black hole syndrome."
