Continuing to think about using the HJ Top Pack as a personal item for air travel.... I almost never travel without knitting projects. Here is the HJ Top Pack with knitting stuff:

In horizontal position, it fits a Travel Tray and two Medium YSS well:

Here is a Wasabi Tall YSS inside, a Medium Iberian YSS, Wasabi TT, and Mini OP with Camelbak water bottle:

Here is the HJ Top Pack inside out in vertical backpack configuration. Camelbak water bottle is in the bottle pocket on the side. Solar and Iberian Medium YSS, Small Steel YSS, small OttLite. Azalea Swift in back. Wasabi Tall YSS fits nicely inside in the vertical position:

Some of us like to keep a Large COP with us for patterns. For this bag, patterns might have to be folded to fit, as the Large COP is too tall to fit (see where my hand is holding the clip):

Thanks, Ilkyway! Comparison shots are the only thing I can do in my house while I am dreaming of taking the HJ outside....living vicariously through your gorgeous pictures out in nature!

I agree with @Ilkyway that I love the pictures of these bags with wool inside! (and also the earlier keystrap/halcyon sequence with the nice contents in the travel trays, etc. which add more color combinations to the pictures). Azalea sure does go nicely with Northwest Sky.
