I've had my eye on the wrap for a while but am not sure if it would be the right fit for what I need.
Can anyone tell me how tall the slots themselves are? The website only lists the overall height of the wrap.

Happyhomemaker,

Sorry, don't have a ruler on hand right now, but this might give you an idea...you can see where the pocket ends on writing tools of different heights. In each case, the bottom of the object is as deep as it can go in the pocket.

@happyhomemaker,

You might be better off checking the pictures and discussion of A knitter's use of the tool/pen wrap (https://forums.tombihn.com/photos-videos-and-reviews/10519-knitters-use-tool-pen-wrap.html). thread, since @Saltgirl identifies the sizes of the Knit Picks needles she stored in each of the pockets. You could also use a double organizer or other flat pouch for your interchangeables.

Thanks! I searched for something like that thread and couldn't find it!

Sorry-- didn't know your intended purpose was knitting. Hope you find what you need.

No that's fine - your picture was great! I have various lengths I need to store so the comparison helped! Thank you!

I think there was also a discussion thread over on Ravelry titled For holding small stuff: pen wrap or tool op (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/tom-bihn-knitting-bags/3434606/1-25) about the relative merits of different accessory pouch options for storing needles and pens. If you want to do comparisons with using accessories like the Knitting Tool Pouches, @gochicken has posted (https://forums.tombihn.com/general-bag-discussion/6740-new-knitting-tool-pouches-post54094.html#post54094) some very nice pictures in the New! Knitting Tool Pouches (https://forums.tombihn.com/general-bag-discussion/6740-new-knitting-tool-pouches.html) thread with identified pouch contents. Also, for the Tool/Pen Wrap, visiting the debut day thread, The Pen/Tool Wrap: some pens that fit (and some that don't) (https://forums.tombihn.com/photos-videos-and-reviews/10461-pen-tool-wrap-some-pens-fit-some-dont-3.html), can be useful for seeing how these pouches look rolled up and what fits into the pouches. I've linked to one of the pages in the middle of that thread that shows the fit for different knitting needles.

@happyhomemaker,

Wow! We've had so many folks from Ravelry come over in the last few weeks in anticipation of the Little Swift Encore that I figured you had shown up from Ravelry in response to posts in the Tom Bihn forum group over there. BTW, to other forum readers, links to posts, pictures, and discussions from the Ravelry forums won't work unless the reader has a Ravelry login (which is easy to apply for). Please make use of the resources in both forums. A lot of the mods from the Ravelry forums post great pictures in the TB forums, though a few of them have different user names in the two forums.

Best,

We are a very happy group and would love to have you join the ranks! I'm one of the moderators of the group. Most of our talk focuses on how to use Tom Bihn items to facilitate our crafting pursuits (knitting, crochet, spinning, and weaving are among our major ones), but we occasionally will go "off knitting topic" to discuss other parts of the Tom Bihn world. It's a great online space to inhabit!
