Planning a trip around the world? Heading to South America for a few months? Europe for a year? For those about to head out on an adventure and are looking for a Tom Bihn pack, I wanted to make a post that provided a few resources and linked to people who have done just that! Most links include packing lists which can be helpful for your own planning as well.

Dave from the thequestforawesome.com travelled around the world for 12 months living out of a Tom Bihn Smart Alec backpack (http://www.thequestforawesome.com/rtwgearlist/).
Kit from SeekNewTravel.com has been travelling around the world with her Aeronaut (http://www.seeknewtravel.com/tom-bihn-aeronaut-best-luggage-ever/).
Forum member jea spent 25 days, 5 flights, and 4 countries living out of her Aeronaut (http://forums.tombihn.com/bag-reviews/4586-25-days-10-flights-4-countries-1-aeronaut.html).
Justin Lucas Savage of Back Country Treks travelled around Europe and Africa with a Tom Bihn Synapse stuffed into a Tom Bihn Brain Bag. [video (http://bctreks.com/tom-bihn-brain-bag-backpack-from-europe-review)] He also does another review of it here: Backpack Wrap Up: The Best Medium Lightweight Pack [Review] (http://bctreks.com/backpack-wrap-up-the-best-medium-lightweight-pack-review)
Tynan has been travelling the world with only a Tom Bihn Synapse backpack [Gear Post 2012: Zen Edition (http://tynan.com/packing2012)].
Forum user Snowster followed Tynan's lead and lived out of a Synapse backpack over 6 months (http://forums.tombihn.com/tom-bihn-news-everything-else/4374-life-nomadic-discovery-tom-bihn-slowly-changing-my-life.html), travelling across Western Europe and New Zealand. You can see what his packing list (http://forums.tombihn.com/tom-bihn-news-everything-else/4374-life-nomadic-discovery-tom-bihn-slowly-changing-my-life.html#post32493) as well.
Keith Savage used both an Aeronaut and a Smart Alec for a month in Argentina (http://www.traveling-savage.com/2010/12/30/gearing-up-packing-list-month-argentina/).

That's it for now but I'll add to this as I research.

And I instantly became a fan of Tom Bihn right out of the box. Since my Europe and Africa trip, I've been every where. The Synapse is my daily bag whether I'm hitting the gym or taking my MacBook Air to a coffee shop or client meeting.

This month I spent two weeks in Thailand and again brought the Brain Bag / Synapse combo. Can't beat it.

Thanks for chiming in Justin! Do you by chance have packing lists for those trips where you brought the bags? I'd be curious what kind of gear you're fitting in there.
