Going from Airpods Pro 2 lanyard attachment to an o-ring?

I've got the new Airpods Pro 2, and the case has a lanyard attachment point:



Anyone have any good ideas on how to attach from there to an o-ring in a way that can also be easily detached? I'd like the case to remain as is when I put it in my pocket (e.g. nothing dangling), but also have an easy way to attach it to my bag.

I wouldn't use the attachment point and just put the case in a mesh Ghost Whale that's tethered to whichever bag I'm carrying. Less hassle than attaching the case directly and then having to remove the lanyard...

Alternatively, you could luggage tag a loop of string or a rubber band through the attachment point and then clip on the loop with the standard TB snap hook. Sounds super cumbersome though.

A key strap that has a split ring as one of its attachments may work. Put the split ring end on the case.
