Absolute Shoulder Strap Pricing Question

An offhand comment in another thread piqued my curiosity about this.

The Absolute Shoulder Strap purchased by itself is $30.
That same strap purchased with a NFTD is $20.
That same strap purchased with a Cafe Bag is $20.
That same strap purchased with an Aeronaut is $30.

Is this because the NFTD/Cafe Bag normally comes with a regular strap and the $20 is the difference between the two, and the Aeronaut doesn't normally come with a shoulder strap?

Yes. The A strap is an add-on to the Aeronaut. It's a trade for the bags which come with a simple shoulder strap.

Indeed, when you are purchasing a bag that come with the Simple Shoulder Strap, and you opt to upgrade to the Absolute Shoulder Strap, you are paying for the difference in cost between the two (currently $20). When you buy the Absolute Shoulder Strap by itself, you pay the cost of the Absolute Shoulder Strap (currently $30).
