    I sympathize; our oldest son (now an adult) has the same allergy. We have no pets. If I were you, I'd simply get rid of the bag. Life's too short.

    I can't speak to specific cat allergy/ cleaning solutions but I've washed TB bags in both the bath and a UK (front loading) washing machine.

    In both cases, the goal was gentle hand washing with natural soap flakes. A45 in the bath by hand and S25 and SCB in the machine on hand wash cycle.

    I allowed both to drip dry outside and got great results both ways.

    Any dirt, discolouration, light hairs etc were gone and no damage to the fabric or straps.
