    Must...replace...all my bags...with...Bihn...

It started with a Brain Cell for my wife's Macbook. Then one for mine. Then a Ruck's Sack for my daughter. Then a Zephyr for me. It's a sickness, but these Bihn bags just shame the (quite decent) laptop bags, backpacks, and briefcases we'd been using quite happily until I fell into this rabbit hole and got Bihn'd.

So now I really want a Bihn gym bag. I've got a small Bean duffle that's really all the gym bag I need. Been using it for years. But you know the drill. Now it sucks.

I see some older threads discussing a possible gym bag from Bihn -- is this project still happening?

Definitely. Tom says that, in his mind right now, the gym bag will be a really cool variation of the Western Flyer.
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Current carry: testing new potential materials in the form of Original Large Shop Bags.

Thanks Darcy. That's what I was hoping you guys would do. A gym bag doesn't have to be shaped like a sausage. A WFesque bag with a large open area in the middle and smaller zipped compartments fore and aft for running shoes and dirty workout clothes would be ideal.

Need a beta tester? I know a guy.

Hmmm. I'm pretty happy with my current gym bag (from Red Oxx) but it'd be interesting to see what Tom comes up with. I use my bag 5 times a week on average and I've been in various different gym situations (small locker, big locker, bring your own lock, lock provided, no towels, towels provided) so I'm pretty good and spotting issues by now. I do find myself trying to stare at the other bags I see at the gym to spot flaws.

I think the first poster was right ... it's a sickness. I really don't NEED to replace any bags. Oh well, looking forward to seeing it.

Well, I didn't think I needed new bags either. But my wife and I did need protective sleeves for our Macbooks, so I found TB and ordered some Brain Cells, which impressed me so thoroughly that I bought my daughter a Ruck's Sack to replace the LL Bean backback she and we weren't terribly happy with functionally, and that was such a hit I got myself a Zephyr, which kicked my Italian leather briefcase to the curb. So yes, my family didn't need new bags per se, but after seeing the level of quality of a TB product, it's hard not to want to replace every bag in the house with its Bihn equivalent.

I must say too that I've been terribly impressed with the level of engagement here from Darcy and Tom. It's one thing to turn out such a high quality product and make it in the States to boot, but to take the time to participate in a meaningful dialog with customers here and have that drive new product ideas is something that's almost unheard of in my experience. Way to go, TB.

When buying Tom Bihn gear, think of your purchase as a
long-term investment and supporting a small company that
uses design for competitive advantage and customer
              satisfaction.

Well it's true! You listen to us...really really listen...and then go and do stuff that make the bags an incredibly great value.
