Aw man! Why did I have to wait so long to discover Tom Bihn bags!

They used to have them in purple.

I would LOVE a purple Aeronaut!!! I'll probably get one in steel, but my heart dreams of purple.

Well, I'm still wishing for a Sapphire one... oh well. Don't like red, don't do black, being a wallflower about the steel. I saw that green one... wish I'd bought one. That will teach me to procrastinate! If you ever change your mind, now you have TWO confirmed buyers of your used Aeronaut!

Sorry, Zephyrnoid, but I *love* my Forest Green Aeronaut. When I learned there were only a couple left (with no more being made), I had Darcy set one aside for me until my paycheck arrived. I can't even imagine a better color for it. :-)

If you ever want to trade your Green for a later version Red, please let me know.

One of the reasons I love the Tom Bihn company -- if they have an idea to improve a product, they improve it. They don't hype it with unnecessary fanfare, or tout it as more than it is. If they see the opportunity, they just make it better.

For example, I *love* the detachable system for the waist strap they've recently added to some of the bags. (I just bought a Ristretto Messenger that has it.)

I need to check mine to see if I have them too. I never noticed them before. Tricky little things are hard to spot.

About those rings... if they're meant for clipping accessory pouches or lights to, wouldn't they work better at the top of the bag? Once the bag is fully packed, you'd have to dig through it to find them (though you would know exactly where they are).

I just got my bag today and was glad to find this thread, since I had the same question.

Extra "o-rings" for clipping Cordura, Clear, Padded, or Cork Organizer Pouches, Key Snaps, or Guardian Lights.

    Aeronaut question

Looking at my new Aeronaut I see two black plastic rings on the bottom of the main compartment toward the back. (I'm not referring to the end pocket sidewall snaps). What are these for? Thanks
Working...
