Pouches with clips?

Carrying my S19 around as my day bag. And I was thinking. There must be a better to carry around a public transport card (tap on tap off type electronic system here in Melbourne). It would be cool if you could attach a pocket pouch or mini organiser pouch to the railing on the backpack straps of the S19 (the railing that the sternum straps attach to.

Don’t know how you’d attach it but I’m thinking maybe sew a piece of webbing across the back of a pouch and then the attachment railing thing that the sternum strap uses can also be used to hook the pouch to it.

My solution to a similar problem uses a keystrap with the o-ring on one end. Clip the pouch to the o-ring then loop the keystrap around the strap on any bag. Clip the end of the keystrap to the o-ring on the other end of the keystrap.

I was thinking about things like that. Just curious how come designs don’t incorporate fitting things to the rail on the backpack straps. Seems like a good place to attach modular type stuff.

I have my Opal card in a tombihn luggage label pouch attached to a long keystrap - then attached to a o-ring in whatever bag I’m carrying.

We have keycard security in my office building and we're supposed to wear our name tags / security badges on clips with retractable straps so we can tap on when we go through a door but still have them visible as name tags. One guy always kept his card in his back pocket, so he just tapped his butt against the security panel to open the door. On bring your kids to work day, I saw his little son run up to the security panel and jump up trying to tap his butt up against the panel.

Where was I going with this? Oh yeah, I find the hook end of key strap hook well to all sorts of things, other than O-rings. I like the idea of the luggage tag though. Very secure.
