    HLT shoulder straps

Can someone enlighten me on the two shoulder straps that can be used with the HLT? I can see one has the waist strap style clip, and the other has the hook type.

Does one perform better than the other?

OT (sort of) - Has anyone tried stowing a Side Effect in the chin pocket of a Synapse 22? The FAQ lists it as a “thing”, but it looks like it may be a tight fit.

It’s a tight fit, but doable if you put it in before filling the bag. I can put the HLT2 in the chin pocket but it’s too much of a struggle to use reasonably.

Doh. I meant Synic 22. Thx.

It’s the strap attachment location on the HLT that’s concerning me. I likely would only ever wear it sling-style.

I've got the same question regarding shoulder strap.
It looks like the side effect strap with the waist clip will fit the HLT1/2 better than a standard shoulder strap clip, as the clip will bunch up the attachment point?
Any existing user can confirm this?
