    Monolith Size?

Woo! Finally got this thing working!

So my question is: What size Monolith would be the best for my Acer Travelmate 8006LMi? It seems the sizes have some extra room in them, and since I'm not familiar with the bags, any help would be appreciated. The Monolith is so far the only bag I've come across that is vertically-loaded and has a hard shell. Speaking of the hard shell, are the thin sides of the bag(left and right edges) and bottom protected, or is there just some cloth there? I think I read that the bag suspends the laptop inside (can't remember, I was too excited at the time) and was wondering if that would allow the laptop to swing and hit the sides/front/back.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kenneth,

    Thanks for your questions.

Your laptop can be found on our "Laptop Finder". You'll find this on the home page as well as at the top of the Quick Navigation menu on any other page of the website (except here in the forum). By selecting your laptop from this list, you'll see all the options we have for the 8006LMi.

The Size 2 Monolith is the best size for your laptop. The sides of the bag are padded with closed-cell foam and the bottom has the same corrugated plastic as the front and back of the bag.

The laptop sits in a soft padded 'sling', suspended above the plastic bottom. Because of the cushioning of the sling, there is not enough play for the computer to swing back and forth in the bag.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! Hopefully, when I scrounge up the money, I'll be getting one of these soon. With a Smart Alec, too? Hmm... it's looking better and better.

          Toshiba Tecra A2

          Hello,

Yes, the best Monolith for you laptop is the Size 2. And I am happy to report that a batch of those are in our QA department right now and will be ready to ship this week.

Thanks so much for sending the pic of Erol. He's very handsome. I showed Riley, and he seemed to think that Erol would be a great buddy for him.
