Do you have the Laptop Keyboard Cover + Unibody MBP?

For those of you who have the Laptop Keyboard Cover and Unibody 13" MacBook, 15.4" MacBook Pro, or 17" MacBook Pro: how much bigger should the Laptop Keyboard Cover be to fit your keyboards?

(Here at Tom Bihn, we're still using our previous generation Mac laptops.)
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

I have a 13 in Macbook and the keyboard cover. Top to bottom width is ok. Side to side length is about 3/8" to 1/2" short. I have found with the new Macbook that the tolerances are so close that if I use the keyboard cover, it is thick enough that the keys get pressed and the machine tried to wake from sleep. Maybe it's just me.... There is less flex in the screen and the keyboard is just below the typing surface of the computer, so the keys do not seem to come in contact with the screen when it is closed (Did that make sense??)

I used to use keyboard covers on my 12" powerbook but really didn't like the way they fit on my macbook unibody. I haven't found a cover necessary... the keys don't seem to imprint on the screen, at least nothing that can't be cleaned away...

I have the 15". It works fine and basically covers the keyboard. A few mm in every direction would totally cover it. As per rabergnc, the keys are slightly recessed into the bottom part of the casing. Placing the cover on might negate the fact that they are recessed and could cause some pressure on the keys. Haven't had the wake from sleep issues with my 15", though.

Thanks for your feedback, everyone! We are now not recommending the Laptop Keyboard Cover for use with the Unibody Mac laptops because it doesn't seem to be necessary with the new keyboard design.

            Hi Darcy,

I have the unibody 15 MBP. Here's a picture of the keyboard cover on top of the keyboard.
