    slightly longer absolute strap?

    Hi,

Saw the thread suggesting a mini-absolute. My question is going in the opposite direction.

I love the absolute shoulder strap. I just wish it were a bit longer, because I like to use straps cross body and, for me, I need just a few more inches so the bag is not climbing up the body so much.

Is it possible to do a special order for a strap with a couple of inches longer?

    Many thanks!

i am reminded of the story of goldilocks.

not goldilocks and the three absolute shoulder straps - that one still has to be written.

this one is about goldilocks and the three cafe bags.

    have you heard this one?

once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a papa bihn, a mama bihn, and a tom bihn.

the bihn family had made plans to go for a hike early the next morning. surely, all of that hiking and climbing was going to make the bihns hungry. so the bihn family was busy packing, amongst other essentials, their food for their hike.

and what do all good bihns like to eat?

    porridge, of course!

and what do all good bihns carry their porridge in?

fine bags that tom bihn makes, of course!

papa bihn packed his porridge in a large cafe bag because he has a big appetite.

mama bihn packed her porridge in a medium cafe bag because she has a medium appetite. and if she finishes hers and is still hungry, she'll just eat papa bihn's porridge.

tom bihn packed his porridge in a small cafe bag because he has a small appetite.

with everything packed and ready to go for the hike the next morning, the bihns set out for an evening walk through bihn country.

while the bihn family was out for their walk, a curious little girl named goldilocks came upon the bihn family house.

the bihns never latch their door. so when goldilocks knocked on the door, the door opened. she called out: "hello, good evening."

    but no one answered.

so she let herself in, being curious as she was. and she had a look around.

goldilocks was far from home. she had been walking for quite some time and had ended up in bihn country. and she was very hungry.

goldilocks saw these bags sitting on the bihn family kitchen table. she had never seen anything quite like them before. they were beautiful in color: there was a large one that looked like a deep blue sky. there was one a medium sized one that looked had the most beautiful cayenne pepper hue. and there was a small one that looked like a bright green leaf.

though she was really hungry, these enchanting bags had caught her attention! she could not take her eyes off of them.

she approached the large one and admired the fabric of the bag. she wanted to lift it, but it was filled with so much porridge that little goldilocks thought it was too heavy for her. still, she grabbed the strap and put it on her shoulder, and she was pleasantly surprised that though the bag filled with so much porridge was so heavy, this strap that was on this bag made the bag easy for her to hold.

she set the large bag down and opened it. as she lifted the flap of the bag, she was amazed as she could not remember when she had seen a deeper red than the crimson that lined the interior of this bag.

but she decided that this bag was much too big for her, and had far more porridge than she could eat.

I suggested something like this awhile back. I'd definitely be interested in something like this too! Since I wear my Super Ego with the strap across my body, I use the Q-Am strap. I'd use my Absolute Strap a lot more if it were longer and could work across the body.
