TB Anticipation Syndrome

It's here! It's here! It's actually here! The USPS site said it would be delivered tomorrow, but then on the very same page it said it was delivered. I checked in my Dept office and it was not there. So then I checked the loading dock and there was the familiar TB box, sitting so lonely on the table (out in the open for anyone to steal!). So I grabbed it and brought it out to my car for safe keeping (and to prevent myself from staring at it all afternoon).

Of course, I did open it just to make sure it was safe. Wow, the WF is really an amazing bag. Perhaps I should not have been surprised, since TB stuff is often better than I expect it to be. It is in Nordic/Steel, just like my Swift. I think I actually like Nordic even better in the WF, which surprised me given how much I have been wanting one in Aubergine/Steel. And the former owner left the coolest zipper pulls on them as well (and included the TB ones). I can't wait to test pack the bag. I'm going to go back to my London packing list to see how it all fits. If the weather holds to the usual averages, it should be about the same temps as I experienced in August (when they had a bit of a cool spell) so that packing list should work out. Then I'll test pack for an upcoming 9 day trip to NJ and NY (Upstate and the City). I'll for sure post pictures! The downside is that I'll have to wait to do this. I have a birthday party celebration tonight and then starting tomorrow we are hosting some alumni at our house for the upcoming Alumni Weekend. So I'll be busy all weekend with all of that.

Hooray, congrats on your new-to-you WF, Pokilani! I find USPS tracking to be spotty at best, so it's not surprising to hear it's already delivered even though the delivery date shows tomorrow.

So I was utterly stunned to get a shipping notification for an order that includes Side Effects that are still showing up as back-ordered until mid -November (the new Black Dyneema/UV and Iberian combinations and Coyote/Steel), as well as the new Clear Organizer Wallets that materialized yesterday. They even managed to include a 3D Clear Organizer Cube in Burnt Orange, despite the fact that when my emailed request to add this to the order showed up, they'd stated this had already sold out. There was just a casual note today that they'd made a few more, and seen that I'd wanted one, so they were adding it to my order. (Since all of these items are still not showing up on the web site, the little TB elves must be hard at work).

I ordered the SE too that's on backorder, but I didn't get a shipping notification. Probably because I switched mine at the last minute from UV to Iberian. I bet if I stuck with UV, I'd have mine too. Ah well. I can be patient.

@Pokilani The Side Effects are still on back order. Evidently, they shipped my order early (without the Side Effects), so they could get me samples of the Daylight Briefcase and Freudian Slips before yesterday's product launch. I wasn't aware of this, and since I had a notice to hold for everything to ship together, I thought they were only shipping my order, including the Side Effects.

Two more burnt orange goodies coming my way: an organizer wallet and 3D COC.

I already have three slim orange wallets, so of course I need a fourth! The 3DCOC is quite a splurge given what it is and how often I'd use it -- but(!) it can tether to my Synapse with a keystrap and that is a feature I really want with my current 311 bag. I pack the 311 in the water bottle pocket and though it fits perfectly, it's hard to get in and out without some wiggling and jiggling.

I am very interested in Grey. The Grey/Iberian S19 and Grey/Olive Medium Cafe color combos have piqued my interest but I have little use for those bags (my S19 is sadly never used). But I would buy a Grey/Steel S25 in a heartbeat.

I'm waiting for my largest, most financially irresponsible order yet. I ordered a black dyneema / iberian WF, a small and large WF packing cube, a black dyneema / iberian Side Effect (my first!) with waist strap, an iberian travel tray, a small DOP, a pocket pouch, and two 16" keystraps. Phew! I think i'm spent this year, but if we're being honest, I still have bag envy for a co-pilot and have my eye on loads more accessories. Does the want ever stop? I don't think it does.

I have a trip on the 20th. Hopeful that my package will be waiting for me when I return.
