Ha, ha...let's hope for all our pocket books' sake, that it's not a competition! I ordered a CP in aubergine, DLBC in dyneema, couple of Q-kits and pouches and wanted to try something in BO so opted for a SE since I like how it's both a bag and an in-another-bag organizer. My previous bags are navy and verde so I tend to be drawn to a darker palate. I thought the BO would spice things up a bit

Oh dear -- will photograph later today-- BB and contents
HI folks!
BB is black/olive. I'm very happy with how much it holds -- I'm doing fieldwork for a research project, so I wanted to have my mini-recording studio (audio equipment plus DSLR and lenses and laptop) to be in one bag, not multiple bags. Using the Camera I/O and Quiver for the camera equipment and tripod. Photographs of the ensemble in a bit -- it's baptized in cat hair (which is a good sign).
I love not only the high quality of TB bags, but that it doesn't scream "I'm carrying expensive equipment inside" too. I'm using a TB padded organizer for my audio recorder, with the Snake Charmer holding XLR cables (and could hold more too). Separate 3D organizer bags (mesh and otherwise) hold the smaller accessories that go with the audio kit and camera kit. The mics are staying in the original cases, though-- the manufacturer ships them in nice padded carrying cases that fit well in the BB (sitting on top of the Camera I/O.
My laptop is in a Cache, but I may wind up getting a Brain Cell if I have to fly with this gear. For right now, I'm traveling by car, so everything can sit upright.
More to come and thank you all for asking!
cheers-
laura gayleLaura Gayle

Checking in here because I'm going crazy with anticipation. I ordered two Field Journals for my kids, and a Pilot for myself in early April. The FJNs were backordered until end of April, but then it got pushed out to end of May. Here we are at end of May, and still no shipping notice.
Whyyyyyyy me?????? :-)

Originally posted by prairiegl View PostAmanda, if it's any consolation, I just received my FJN today that I ordered the last part of March. Even though I knew some of the colors I would have preferred were not available, I got the grey. I thought if I added some ultraviolet zipper pulls, I would feel better about it. I'm going to ponder it for a few days, but I'm just not sure I like the color. The product itself is really well designed and extremely well made.

Once again I placed an order, and am "re-buying" something I returned - the PU. I LOVE the PU. I originally returned it because I'm just not physically going in and out of places where I carry a lot. But I am going to be on a bag ban. I ordered this, another DLBP, a plum/olive MCB, a steel TT (I have iberian and uv), and a few other odds/ends. I ordered yesterday, and today it looks like I'll be buying a "new" car tomorrow. That's a shock. I'd hoped to wait till 9/2016. I have an 03 Ford Escape, and I've kept up with repairs. The next potential big repair might be $1000. Just paid $300 yesterday. So, been checking things out. I'm glad I have TONS of Bihn, including retired colors. Now I'll be using the stuff more than acquiring it! I've drooled over the Aeronauts, but since it's been a few decades since I've flown, I've purchased things I'm more likely to use. I generally use a wheeled suitcase (out to the car). But I'll be practicing packing in a more minimalistic manner even in that so on the rare occasions I am away for only a weekend I can use a duffel more easily.

I think I'm going to be in a state of anticipation lasting a couple of weeks. I have a Grey/Steel SCB, FJN strap and some other accessories arriving next week in a bundle of parcels that also includes some highly-anticipated fountain pen stuff (ink, maintenance stuff, flex pen), drawing materials (specialist nibs!!) and some other things I want to customize my FJN with.
Then, a few days ago I sold my BO S25 to my nephew and bought what I'm 99% sure is a black parapack/steel S25 from eBay. The seller had listed it as a S19, but looking at the proportions of the bottom pocket it was almost definitely a S25. I've been looking for a nice black S25 for work, and LOVE! black parapack so this settled it for me.
And... It goes without saying that I'll be getting some stuff from the launch. Even if it's orange dyneema (SSK? TT?). This level of anticipation should be illegal.
