Darcy I like the stickers, mainly because I get a kick out of seeing which color I got this time. I wouldn't mind getting something else instead (maybe a bookmark from an eco-friendly material?) but would prefer whatever it is to be tangible rather than digital because the surprise is part of the fun.

I dislike the stickers. My husband has been dealing with kidney stones for years and for him the going is not good and is often quite painful. I have spent much time in waiting areas with my Tom Bihn bag of choice while he has undergone various kidney stone procedures.
Eco-friendly bookmarks with an outdoors, environmental quote would be a welcome change. Thank you @Surreale for the suggestion

I’ve got a stack of stickers and bags of black zip pulls set aside for when (if) I have a return to send. Maybe you could have an option to check if you’d rather skip the zip pulls and sticker Darcy. TB Anticipation Syndrome
Hoping I don’t beat a dead horse into glue, but I am glad to see the transition away from paper packing slips (totally redundant if you have an online account with Tom Bihn where you can reference your order history). For those without an account, simply saving your order and shipping confirmation emails will accomplish the same.
I only use as many pulls are required for the bag they came with, and my stickers sit stacked in a box unused. I always use the pulls. I never use the stickers. When I return items, I try to send the sticker back as well.
Included key straps are a divisive subject.
There are bags I could really use a key strap (S19, L15, HLT, anything I use as an EDC, etc.) and others - like the Monster Truck - where I don’t really need them.
Darcy, was there ever a time the company considered making the included accessories a la carte items which could be added to a bag purchase via the same type of drop down boxes used to upgrade purchases with Freudian Slips and Absolute Straps?
If I really needed a key strap, I would be more than willing to pay another five dollars and if I didn’t, it would be equally nice to save some money, too.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI own a LOT of Tom Bihn bags, but here are the ones I'm using right now:
EDC: SK
Day Hiking: Cambiata
Car Travel: T45, SZTSB
Plane Travel: N/A

This has come up in the past...
One of the issues with making a lot of the smaller items discretionary is that it increases complexity. The amount of time to 'pick' an order and confirm it would go up. The opportunity cost of failure (ie, someone wants the cords or keystrap or sticker & TB misses it) is higher than the cost of the item. There's a sustainability impact to ship a missing item too... doesn't mean that there may not be creative alternatives, just some things to consider.
I'm happy to no longer have packing lists. Stickers are fun, but maybe just keep them for the big holiday release?
For all the extras that I have accumulated of stickers, keystraps, pulls, I just store them. If I sell or swap anything, I ask the person if they want some of the extras and throw them in the box.
I don't know if TB has an idea of the number of customers who buy once or infrequently vs the number of us (ahem) who have lots and lots of stuff and have accumulated extras...“...Horace was the only cheese that would eat mice and, if you didn't nail him down, other cheeses as well"

Dang I'll be getting my first TB bag Wednesday and was a little bit looking forward to a sticker to slap on my water bottle. But not a big deal. I do hate all the waste I get. I literally just opened a box from Chewy.com that was 12x10x3 with one bottle of shampoo and paper. And it could have come in the other box that came in yesterday.
I understand some people like the "presentation" ofa package but it's so wasteful.

I like the idea of doing away with packing slip.
As for the stickers, they are nice but it is easy to accumulate far more than one could ever use. I love the idea of the previously-suggested bookmark.
If you stick with providing the stickers, though, perhaps a new graphic, smaller size, and a static cling (rather than adhesive) design?
Thanks for all that you do, TBCrew.Last edited by bb93fo57; 08-11-2020, 06:01 AM.

Couldn’t be bothered to wait for the possibility of maybe seeing deep blue / Solaris on the Synik 30 again anytime soon or even deep blue / island so I just ordered black / island. Can’t wait. If deep blue / island ever sees the light of day I guess I’ll have to buy another one. Pretty excited. 👍🏻
This is my first time getting anything from TB.

Black and Island are great together. I have a stealth black Icon that I use with Island accessories and have Black Halcyon Tri-Star with Island halcyon lining .... looks really sharp. Welcome to the TB world.

Thank you! I’m coming from a AER Travel Pack 2 Xpac (so black with orange lining) and the packing cubes I’ve been using are neon blue... so they should go with the Synik’s island a little better. Either way, I’m just happy to get something that I hope sits better on the back and easier to get in and out of, while still being able to carry essentially the same amount. Also hoping it’s easier to walk around foreign cities with throughout the day (with the clothing packing cubes left at the hotel).

[emoji113] Bihnion in training here.
I just put in my first order for a few items, including a Synapse 19 that will work as my main EDC bag. I've been wanting one for nearly 5 years now; to say I'm looking forward is an understatement.
I had been haunting eBay for a while, but as a Canadian, after shipping fees and duties are considered, we're easily outbid. I started to suspect it'd actually make a whole lot more sense to buy a new bag.
So I took the plunge. I threw in a couple organization items, too, to help make that shipping fee work for me.
I can't wait to unbox and "move in" to my new bag. Send me all the good shipping juju folks!
