Another round of the waiting game.

I just placed an order for an Aeronaut, Side Effect, and a couple of surprises for someone special.

    Very exciting!

What's funny is that at first sight, I did not find the Aeronaut aesthetically pleasing, but now I can't wait to get my grubby little paws on it (and my VFFs inside of it, safe for travel).

I decided not to get any packing cubes with this order since my upcoming trip will require minimalist-style packing (i.e., bundles rather than cubes) to save weight. I do have a WF small cube that I plan to use as the core.

As is my practice, I will post poorly-photographed images once the haul arrives.

Just got an email from UPS!

There's good news and bad news and good news.

The good news: I placed my order last night at 2230 CST and the nice folks at TB have already printed out a UPS label!

The bad news: my 7.52-pound bundle of joy won't arrive until next Thursday.

The good news: that's the day before my Thanksgiving break starts, so I'll have a full nine days to pack and re-pack (and hide and re-hide) my various goodies and presents.

      Ahh, the silver lining.

          I know!

Titus' birthday is right after Thanksgiving (he will be three on 11/27), and I can't wait to show you the hilariously over-the-top gift we got for him. It was too big to hide, so he's already using it. It can hold many, many TB products.

              Ha ha!

No, not quite. (I wonder if you can special order a Tardis from the Neiman Marcus catalogue.) We got him a ginormous fluffy bed that can easily hold both dogs and one of us simultaneously. We have trouble gauging his size when he's not actually with us.

That sounds equally as awesome! I can understand how that could be hard to hide!

You could get him a Tardis treat container: ThinkGeek :: Doctor Who TARDIS Talking Cookie Jar

That would scare the hell out of him! He'd never want biscuits again! (That may actually be a good thing, as corgis get fat really easily.)

He would much prefer the Tactical Bacon.

It's...canned bacon....in the shape of guns..

                    Well now I've seen everything.

I could be wrong, but I think it's bacon-shaped bacon. In a can. A can with a gun on it.

I have to say, one of the "customer action shots" is kind of f'd up.

I don't need any of them right away, but of course when I ordered, I forgot they weren't in stock! So, my question is, how long does it usually take for back-ordered items to ship? Please say tomorrow!
Haha! I don't think it's a day back order unfortunately.

7:30 PM....local time.....No UPS......tracking info says it's been "out for delivery" for nearly 12 hours.

                                Argh!!!!!!!

Addendum #1--I call UPS at 7:40 P.M....(trying to talk to a live person is virtually impossible.) They said they package will be delivered by the "end of the day." "What time is that," I ask. "11:59 PM."

Addendum #2--package arrived at 7:50 P.M. What have we learned....if you think it's late, call UPS to complain. It's inevitable the package will arrive in no time.

Addendum #3--Someone said "Patience is a Virtue." I don't know who it was. Does anyone out there know? Anyone? Will someone hurry up and tell me, I don't have all day.
