You are most definitely not the only one who does this – I actually decided to (finally!) register for a forum account after checking my order status one too many times this week to see if my LGD had shipped yet. (I figured since I was spending so much time on tombihn.com anyway, I might as well pull up a chair and make myself comfortable

      Welcome to the forums MisterJacques

While we’re waiting can you share what color of the LGD you ordered? Did you add a water bottle pocket to attach?

Thank you! It's good to be here ... or maybe I should say back here, since I've been a Tom Bihn fan for a long time now. In fact, there used to be a photo of me on the TB blog modeling (sic) my then-new ID bag back in the day - Darcy may remember it, though it's slightly embarrassing to the older, more low-profile me. I still use that ID bag though!

As for my LGD: I ordered the Beaver Camo version, since I never met a camo bag I didn't like. (Seriously - I have half a dozen other bags in various permutations of camo fabric already, so this one will be in good company.) I did have a momentary change of heart after I placed my preorder back in May and thought the all-black iteration might be more versatile until I remembered that the reason why I always gravitate towards camo prints is because they pretty much go with anything casual. And the photos of the Beaver Camo version that were posted on the TB blog a few weeks ago sealed the deal for me - that is one slick looking camo. (Can camo be slick? I digress.)

I didn't order the water bottle pocket since I mostly use a flexible Vapur bottle when I'm out and about and have found they don't fit well into designated water bottle pockets - the squared-off corners on mine tend to get caught on the pocket material. I did, however, pick up a Simple Shoulder Strap and a small Ghost Whale organizer pouch since I also think one can't have enough shoulder straps or organizer pouches. (Or camo bags, for that matter ... )

I ordered my first Tom Bihn bag on last July 4th. It shipped Wednesday and arrived Friday.

I don't live too far from Seattle and on the West Coast! It arrived pretty fast! I got the Ursa ballistic and northwest sky Synik 30.

It's definitely the best bag I've ever owned. It can carry so much stuff. The internal frame and the edgeless straps are incredible.

I donated my old backpack to goodwill on the same day my Tom Bihn bag arrived yesterday haha.

That laptop compartment is a huge bonus for my Dell XPS 9500.

I think I inadvertently gave myself a worse case of TB Anticipation Syndrome. I placed multiple orders Monday (I just kept deciding I wanted more stuff after rushing to grab the restocked items I had my eye on) and now I think that I delayed my order shipping/processing.

Are there any tips that people use to organize orders on restock days, especially of popular items (other than discipline)?

I either have discipline and wait and savour the anticipation.... or I pay for two sets of shipping, but it's easy for me because I live in CA so it's $10 for UPS Ground and it arrives usually at 3 days.

I add the restocking items items I want to my Wishlist before restocking day. And I add any already in-stock items to my cart before a restocking day. On restocking day usually all I have to do is go to my wish list, click the "Add All Wishlist Items" button, and check out.*

*Wish list may not work when a restock of an item is really limited quantity/really popular. To order those items go to the product page, add the item to the cart, and check out immediately. You can do that multiple times; all of the orders within a certain amount of time will be combined into one shipment.

It wouldn't be the multiple orders holding things up, but rather... did you perhaps order a Travel Tray? Some orders from the restock are shipping out today because Travel Trays were still going through our QA department; any orders waiting on them will ship today. We didn't proactively notify folks since it's still within the 1-4 business day shipping window.

Hope this helps a bit and while it's totally ok to post here of course, always also feel free to [email protected] if you'd like us to check on your specific order.
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Current carry: testing new potential materials in the form of Original Large Shop Bags.

Darcy - Thanks so much for the info and response!

Given my newness to TB this was a load up on multiple things I wanted, so my wish list was half the site. Now that I’ve put in this order, your method should be super helpful. Thanks!

It would be cool to have a way to have two wish lists for just this purpose, but I don't know that it's feasible.

This may be more trouble to implement than it’s worth, as you currently can’t add “out of stock” items to the cart, but if you could, you could potentially make the option to “save cart”, which would act like a second wish list.

Plus the things you’re wanting to buy would already be there, which would save a step.

....it's always a good day when you pull the trigger on a new TB bag! I'm retiring my EB...honestly it was too big for my 5'7" frame...but I loved the extra room, the exterior pockets, the fact it stood up...and was easy to justify once I saw what I can sell my EB, S25 and Co-pilot for on eBay...

...but I'm saying hello to the Cadet! The black / island will match my A45 and the minimalist design will force some downsizing since I don't have to carry as much tech these days. New Absolute Strap (I should post a pic of the sad state of my first one, after thousands of hours of abuse...I mean use!)...BF gets a new wallet too...

...matching cubelet for my Windows brick + mini mouse, oh how I have wanted a cubelet! AND IT'S ISLAND TOO. The pouch that we got as a forum gift a few years ago becomes my ipad / iphone cable holder, and picked up a couple of the whale pouches to check them out...

...Island key straps, island zipper pull replacements...island double carabiners....ISLAND EVERYTHING!
