I've definitely got a case of TB Anticipation Syndrome. Now that my workplace has gone to a hybrid model, I'm toting a lot more schtuff between home and the office cubicle I share with another professional. (We work on alternate days at the same desk.) In any case, between my laptop, mobile phones (I have two), cables, accessories, umbrella and rain jacket (central Florida gets monsoons in the afternoons during the summer), my lunch, etc. etc. etc, I found things getting a little tight in my S25, so I took the plunge and ordered a Brain Bag. Now I am obsessively checking my UPS app and dreaming of my new bag in Wilderness 525
Small Cafe Bag in Deep Blue/Grass - Medium Cafe Bag in Alphaviolet/Cloud - Pop Tote in Olive; Side Kicks in Aubergine/Island Halcyon, Black Halcyon/Island Halcyon - Side Effect in Nordic Halcyon/Northwest Sky Halcyon - S25 in Black Halcyon/Island Halcyon - Luminary 15 in Nebulous Gray/Island

I pre-ordered a T45 in steel/wasabi for a trip to Europe in November (that, let’s face it, will probably be cancelled now). I also ordered a Coyote HLT 2 and Everyday Cubelet. But I got so excited about my accessories and not having a new bag to put them in until October that I ordered a Synik 30 that will be here next week also just so I have a new travel bag sooner. So my inability to manage my TB anticipation led to another bag and even greater expectation for next week. ?

TBAS for the Parental Unit + 8/30 restock + 9/13 restock has hit a fever pitch. Send help.

My Night Walk/Tidal Parental Unit pre-order shipped but it's flagged as potentially delayed at UPS leaving Tacoma, so this may take a while.... especially since I'm on the east coast for a while.

I've never seen one in person, so I'm geeked to play with it, see how it might work as a cross body carry-on whilst carrying an Aeronaut/Techonaut...or maybe as a gym bag, though I usually use a Pop Tote for that.

I also have Side Kicks in Original (white grid/black) and Night Walk coming with the PU.

When the preorder came around I broke out one of my PUs (that I hadn't actually tried yet, lol) to see if it was worth getting one in another color. I think it's usurped the Maker's Bag as my favorite (non-backpack) EDC and I'm stoked for my order to arrive. I particularly like this bag in halcyon because it's light but there's enough lining/pockets to give it structure, which can't be said for all halcyon bags IME.

I think my favorite part is the clip, where I hang my keys for easy access (though I keep that side against my body since I don't want OTHERS to have easy access to it, lol). The only downside I've run into is getting the sides confused because they're identical and I sometimes go into the wrong pocket for my phone, but there are workarounds for that if I don't get used to it with time, like different colored zipper pulls.

TL, DR: I think you'll like it! It's a great bag

No shipping notice yet for me. In case people forgot or didn't get the email, preorders should ship between 11/3 - 11/10.
The NW/Tidal PU was super tempting. In the end, I went with BH/UV. I have been enjoying my NW MCB though.
Also picked up couple SK and TLSS.

G42 can’t wait to hear what you think of the PU. Are you normally into that many pockets? I have been a bit too obsessed with my Paradigm to use my PUs lately but that may change when my Nightwalk PU arrives.

Surrealle yes I also favor Halcyon PUs for this reason. I have put purple zipper pulls on the “outside” of the bag and black on the “inside” for this same reason as you.

All this PU enthusiasm makes me excited to try a new pack for mine, since every year I need slightly different stuff as the kids get older and the seasons change.

I'm not as far along the pocket curve as you, so it'll be interesting to see how I adapt to the bag. I like the idea that the center divider can be engaged or not, kind of like the divider in the Luminaries.

I have my Taiga Paragon with me on my extended trip partly because of the flexibility of the space it provides vs my S19.

I am having now the second Tom Bihn package delayed at German customs.

The first is not getting customs clearance since 2nd of November, the second, newer package has now the information "We have contacted the recipient because a review of the product description information by the sender/importer is required before release." Though they haven't contacted me, yet.

This is very unusual, I never had such problems with UPS from the US before. Since I can't contact anyone before Monday: Did anyone in Germany experience similar problems? And if so, how did you solve them?

I had problems once because some guy at customs thought Café bag would mean a bag of coffee… And I had a parcel seemingly lost at customs which was scanned and re-scanned all the time but not processed. In that case I called UPS and insisted they patch me through directly to the place where my parcel should be and the people there looked into it. There was some error with my address I think, at one point they had to label the package again and somehow missed half of my address?! Something like that. And they didn’t have my email address in the system, like they normally do, so they couldn’t reach me. Did you get any emails directly from UPS at all? Or is all your information from the tracking link TB provides?

                        Thank you for your reply!

The first package is being scanned again and again and doesn't get customs clearance. I do hope it's not an address problem. I do have an Umlaut in my last name and have to write it with an additional e, when I order from abroad, but that only generated problems with some deliverers who don't know German and Umlauts well and mistrust me being the same person.

Maybe it is the street name, I had it with an "ß" in my account and the Tom Bihn webseite scrambled it. So I corrected it recently to "ss". But that didn't generate delivery problems before.

There are no Café bags in my second package.

UPS has not contacted me, although I do have a MyChoice account with them and they do have my email address and phone number. I will try to contact them tomorrow.
I also sent an email to the Tom Bihn people and asked them to look into it.

                            Hi Kanne !
Sorry about that, you're all set now.
Unfortunately sometimes the automated spam detection system mistakenly flags posts for weird reasons. Any one of us Volunteer Mods will approve the post(s) once we see the notification and/or are on the site. We're spread around some of the global time zones so we have pretty good coverage, but sometimes we get busy or miss something, so please give us a day or so. If you have a post that does not get approved within a day, please feel free to message one of us Mods and we'll look into it.

I've noticed that if I edit one of my own posts (which I tend to do because I notice mis-spellings or whatever), it is frequently flagged as spam. Particularly if I edit more than once.

I’m not sure about the spam checking algorithm that the forum software uses, but some spammers try to get up a first post that is “clean”, and then go back to edit it and add links to spam sites. They’ll also do things like quote legitimate posts and then go back to either add or change a link that was in a legitimately quoted post to take you to another site. That seems to be more of a ploy of places that are trying to draw users to buy competing products that they have started, so these are not typically gambling sites or tours in Chennai. And really good alternative bag/accessory manufacturers, whose products we know about (and might also recommend) never do this — they don’t have to.
