Ugh. I haven’t even received my first order and I’ve already placed my second because I’m a sucker for a pop of Yellow and think the HLT2 is the size that’ll be perfect for me and for my bag (and it just got back in stock!). So now I’ll have the 1 and the 2 in the same color and can make a good choice. I need to hide my credit card bill. 🤪Comment

So I am *in love* with my new Synik 30 bag and the HLT1 (HLT2 ordered but still "processing" and I'm getting nervous).
First the bag. It feels so comfortable! I love the straps and how the whole thing sits against my back. This is going to make a real difference in my day-to-day. I'm also amazed by how much room is in it and how efficiently it's designed. My old North Face is bigger by volume, but it feels substantially smaller because of how smartly designed the Synik is. The Night Walk Halcyon is a great fabric -- just enough color to not be boring, but not so much that it'll make a dean anxious. And the feel of the fabric is fantastic and so much lighter than I'm used to. I was a little skeptical of the water bottle pocket upon ordering, but knew that if it worked it would be much better for my back. And now that I have my 1L Hydroflask in it, I'm sold -- it's so much more balanced with the water bottle in the middle like that.
The Handy Little Thing 1 (in Solaris Halcyon) is beautiful and functional. It's the perfect pop of color with this bag. I need to play around with loading it up. It may well be that I keep this HLT1 and the HLT 2 that I ordered. I need to load this one up with my dongles and whatnot to see. Regardless, the idea of the HLT makes perfect sense to me and I'm going to keep at least one of them. 😂
I also got a Cubelet in Northwest Sky to match the bag's interior and it's perfect for my laptop power brick/cords.
The Ghost Whales I got (a mini and a super-mini, both in Nebulous Grey) are ... well ... I'm not sure what to think about them. I think I like the idea of the pouches. My travel mouse fits perfectly in the mini. The super-mini will fit my AirPod Pros and/or other little things. I really don't like the color, though, and am not sure what I was thinking. Also, I'm not so keen on the fabric -- especially with all the Halcyon I've got going on. So IDK ... I might return them both for something else. Maybe for the Canary Yellow Cordura G42? I wish there were organizer pouches in Halcyon. But I'm trying to decide if I even *need* any Ghost Whale pouches right now.
Anyway, all in all I'm super excited to start using my bag and to be making the switch into TB gear!!!Comment

Solid choices, dwanzerserrano.
I think you'll find the pliability of the 400d Halcyon on that bag to be a little more agreeable for packing - it likes to bend around irregular shaped objects a little more than its ballistic nylon sibling.
I don't like the GWOPs, either, and would strongly recommend the regular OPs (currently being made from Cordura).
The size mini organizer pouches are what I use for my everyday wallet and they hold far more than you'd think: folded cash, cards, finger bandages, lens wipes, even a spare pair of contact lenses! Back when I used to drive a car with keyless entry, I'd keep the fob stored in there full time, too.
Keep the tags on that stuff so if you test pack and it doesn't work out, you can mail it back and order some different things instead.

Not pictured: an HLT1 and HLT2 that I might/probably return. They're so *nice* ... but I think another VPC or Cubelet would be more useful in my EDC. I don't *love* the coyote ballistic on that small GWOP; but I like it a lot better than cammo and the size is PERFECT for pens (thanks G42!), so I'll get a second one in black once it's available. I flippin' LOVE all the halcyon fabrics. I really think I might get a coupe more Cubelets and VPCs while they're available. I don't have anything I'm keeping in Taiga or Açai or Solaris ... so I have options.Comment
