which has me reconsidering the Paragon GE in Coyote/Coyote which for some reason is really calling me, even though I have the Taiga/Taiga - but they look so different...

I surprised myself and ordered this combo. Not what I usually go for, especially since I didn't care for coyote when I first saw it. It's grown on me, and something about the monotone appeals to me all of a sudden...

The Guide's Edition look is very different from the Design Lab Version of the Paragon. I do like the Coyote color (and I'm probably guilty of collecting too many of the Coyote accessories -- my Coyote/Iberian Pocket Pouch arrived just after the Covid-19 shutdown, and it was when I was still sending specific requests for color combinations that I had seen posted -- it came back with the note that this was probably the only remaining Coyote/Iberian pocket pouch in their warehouse). And, if you want to experiment with hacking, there are still 1.5" wide Coyote waist straps around left over from the Skookum Dog Citizen Canine accessories.

moriond, I preordered SEs in: Solaris, Sitka, Tidal, and Taiga. I am still eyeballing Island and UV. Do you know if this is the one and only time the 200d halcyon Side Effects will be available? That would help me decide about the other two.

Glad to hear you were able to order the PCSBs this time around, because it was brutal trying to get an order placed last debut.





(whispers) I think you should order a few more. Or at least order them now and then think about it so you don't have any regrets. I've had a few sad TB moments when I hemmed and hawed and didn't pull the trigger fast enough.

I do use Side Effects very often, sometimes as a PLO or bag in bag. I especially like to use them as a theme park bag, although I sometimes I do use an Everyday Cubelet. Side Effects are just so handy and versatile as a first aid bag, makeup/dopp bag, airplane seat bag, etc. I just love them.

I ordered the same Side Effect colors that you did, but then decided to add Acuity. Now I am wondering whether I should get Ultraviolet and maybe the Northwest Sky. There are just some situations where that size works better than the 3D Organizer Cubes (which appear to no longer be made in fabric -- at least for now). I also checked the Ghost Whale Pouches, but they don't seem to have added a lot to these yet.

I ordered the SE in Solaris and Tidal - I'll see how I like them when they arrive. I'm currently obsessed with Solaris, probably because of FOMO from missing Solar (& paying so much for a few things on the secondary market) and the whole pandemic thing depressing me. Solaris is literally a bolt of sunshine happiness to me.
My very first TB item was a SE that I bought when I visited the MotherShip (shoutout to the amazing Crew!)... as I've figured out what works for me, I prefer the Side Kick size if I'm going to carry that type of bag but I don't like the new offset attachment points on the SK and they weren't making them in 200 halcyon anyway.
I mentioned elsewhere that in the past year or so I've picked up the older version of the SE in Cordura with the attached waist belt and they have been wonderful as a traditional fanny pack when I go out on long walks with all the extra supplies needed during Covid times. I figure I have a zillion waist straps floating around from my packs that I never use, so I'll probably use these new ones that way.

Many other things were ordered: Cubelets, PCSB, PUTs, E/T Cubelet, oh my!

I was so excited that I ordered as soon as Paragon was available at 16:01 (CET): Guide Edition's in Wilderness, I was drooling over this color combo since Synapse/Synik versions, but I already have the GES25 (obviously... it is on my avatar...)

added HLT1 & 2 and packing cube shoulder pack that I wanted since forever
and some (exciting) stuff...

but I am wondering myself if I should add another HTL1 or 2... hum...

So which Side Effects did you get? I got a Logic Blue Pick-Up Truck and also one in Aubergine. And I missed out on the PCSB the first time I tried to order, so I got the Cobalt/Solaris combination

I also used to use this a lot with the Little Swift, which was a regular carry for me for years. (This is terrible, because as I type, I'm thinking that I should have added a few more Halcyon Side Effects.

Mmh, maybe I could use the SE for my chargers and stuff. My SC is usually bigger than I need for travel. And I think the HLT is too complicated for my taste. I prefer to just throw things in...

So did you order one? I don’t know, my first SE was ballistic, the 200d might be different enough. But the thing is, I’m not sure it would get used as a bag in bag organization much because my favourite bags are the Café bags and something like the EC makes more sense in there than the horizontal SE. And even my EC gets used mostly as a bag on its own. But I don’t really need another EC or PCSB either...

Whew, that was exciting! A GE Paragon Aubergine for me and the Deep Blue for my husband (he doesn’t yet know he needs it), 3 Pickup Trucks (DeepBlue, Dawn, LogicBlue), and 2 Everyday Cubelets (Taiga and Tidal). Now to be patient!

Oh, joy! Preording success. Just like our amazing moderator moriond, I have been waiting for the Side Effects in 200d for years. Years, I tell you. So my strategy was to laser focus on the limited edition colors in my first order. Then the pressure was off – well, sort of. I was sure I had decided on a black/Solaris Paragon until I saw G42’s fantastic pictures of her Taiga Paragon. Then Cristina posted pictures right before go time of her deep blue one, which was very cool. So I still was undecided. Which Paragon? In the end, I got both black/Solaris and Wilderness GE, plus a Logic Blue Pick-Up Truck and a few cubelets. It was an excellent day. Can’t wait until late April when I get the shipping email.

So which Side Effects did you get? I got a Logic Blue Pick-Up Truck and also one in Aubergine. And I missed out on the PCSB the first time I tried to order, so I got the Cobalt/Solaris combination

I got two Pick-Up Trucks, Dawn and Black. I only have a regular Truck so far (in Constellation) and it’s a great bag. Can’t wait to see the smaller ones! I’m still thinking about the Tidal SE. I love the color and thought about getting one of the 200d Side Effects since they were announced, but then I remembered that I sold my first SE because it didn’t work well for my stuff...
