Hooray! My order just shipped...looking forward to my Black/Aubergine/Wasabi SA with top modular pouch, Nordic/Solar S19 (couldn't resist!), two SEs (Black Dyneema, and Olive/UV - lucky to get the last one), Linen/Navy SCB, Nordic LSB, plus a few other accessories while I was at it... :-)

I'm interested to discover if the wider-spaced shoulder straps on the current generation S19 would feel more comfortable on my shoulders. I recalled that when I packed my older S19 (Olive/Solar) fully, the straps bit into my shoulders/under arms a bit and was somewhat uncomfortable to carry on my back for long periods. Also, I'm hoping the Dyneema version would be more expandable and stuffable.

PLUS, can't wait for the new product announcements...

I have full blown TBAS now and I don't even have a TB bag yet. See this thread to see how the dear people of this forum helped spread TBAS to me.

There aren't many recent write-ups on the Ego bag (I have seen 'em all in this forum!) so the photos here are great! http://forums.tombihn.com/questions-...super-ego.html

Big thanks to tpnl, avservice, gostanford, icebeng, terayon and yoda sloth for your help!

You know how internet browsers has the drop-down menu at the URL address field that shows the list of the most viewed sites? How do you know you have TBAS? When the drop down menu has www.tombihn.com on it...high on the top...

Another sign of TBAS is the big ol' smile you get when you see this on the UPS delivery tracking...

I got my Nordic LSB and SSB today and they are glorious. 400d dyneema is fast becoming my favorite ever. I hope we see more colorful versions in the future. Thank you TB crew.

My USPS parcel (various pouches) departed LA on Saturday; my UPS one (SA + lots of goodies!) reached the UK hub on Friday night. The latter is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, but will the postie beat it with the smaller parcel? It's more exciting than the World Cup!

I'll proudly fess up now: burnt orange is my TB weakness. Just ordered a burnt orange S19. I inquired about the availability of b/orange OPs; Beau said to not yet but to wait a few more weeks.
Long live Burnt Orange! Zest! 152!

My black/aubergine/wasabi SA arrived yesterday - so pretty! I might test-pack it at the weekend with the stuff I'm taking to the US, as I want to take some photos of my WF and @ceepee's Pilot for the Packing List thread.

As for why I have two 26L bags - the WF is better for air travel as I can safely check it (sans absolute strap) if I get carried away with souvenir shopping, whereas a purpose-made backpack is better for train travel (which tends to be short domestic trips).

Now I just have a small order of pouches on their way, to tide me over until the debuts!

I am starting to think that TBAS is as much TBAcquisitionS as it is TBAnticipationS. Not a bad thing exactly, but now I want all the bags!

They're two sides of the same coin - one leads to another, in a virtuous cycle

(Actually, TBAS stands for TB Acquisition Syndrome over on the TB Ravelry group...)

Hooray!! The Giant BackOrder (TM) has arrived!! (Oddly, I got an alert from UPS this am saying that expected delivery would be tomorrow, which would have been one day later than expected. But then when we got home, there was the lovely box of goodies, waiting for me!!)

Is it kosher to post unboxing pics here? I can't remember. Let me know if these bother you. ;P

No box art, though I requested "something geeky"... (but that's ok, I changed my order so many times they probably had to rebox it several times! )

(Note K9 inspector verifying that this shipment is, in fact, safe.)

                          The goodies:

And my favorite - the SA!!!

I was worried it would be too big on me, but it fits perfectly and I looooooooove the aubergine+wasabi. Gah. So elegant, so distinctive. The splash of green when you open it is so refreshing. (Also, allllll the goodies, except for the S19, fit in the SA. #TARDIS)

No pics yet of the S19, though I adore the Steel Dyneema/UV combination. I need to try it fully loaded - when I put it on empty, the straps dug into my neck. I'm also going to try out a Portable Culture model.

This is like Christmas in June! So delightful!!

Well my TB goodies arrived yesterday...and I must say I am happy with every single item that I had ordered! Inspected each bag/accessory item and couldn't help but admire the quality of workmanship and beauty of each product. Here are my initial impressions, straight out of the box...

I put on the Nordic S19 empty and immediately noticed the wider-spaced shoulder straps. Whilst it sat comfortable on my shoulders, I did feel that it was a touch more likely to slip off. Having said that I would need to load it up a bit and try the pack on again to see if this scenario could happen for me. But, I am still happy with the comfort level at this stage. So thrilled now to have a backpack in Dyneema material.

My initial impression of the SA was WOW!...I love this! When I placed it on my back (again empty), I was surprised to feel how high it sat on my back, the lower portion of the SA did not touch my lower back. Again, I would need to load it up and perhaps re-adjust the the shoulder straps a little to make it more comfortable to carry. The SA certainly felt very comfortable on my shoulders on initial impression.

Finally, I was surprised by the sheer beauty of the Linen/Navy SCB. The Linen material has a shimmer effect and completely surprised me as I was expecting a 'flat' colour like on my Steel/Cayenne MCB. The Linen is certainly more beautiful in person than could be conveyed in pictures. To me it just looks so classy! Also, I LOVE the new softer strap on the SCB. I can just imagine it would be so much more comfortable to carry compared the stiffer strap on both my Nordic/UV SCB and the Steel/Cayenne MCB. But, having said that I have not had any issues with the stiffer strap version on either of my Cafe bags.
