Pant cuffs

The kind used by cyclists during a commute to keep their pants out of the chain. Im sure Tom could make a design that uses "scrap material" and a little velcro. Make sure they are good and wide.

Wouldn't a strip of velcro be better? Then you wouldn't need to worry about the metal making your pants dirty. When I was a kid I didn't care so much but now I might. Plus a simple velcro strip can be used for many other things as well.

The problem is with a simple velcro strip or other thin holding devices, I used a plastic covered steel clamp kind of apparatus, pants can be slightly brushed by the chain and stained, it happened to me.

The best remedy is err...a chain guard or one of those pant protector.

I bought one but they are all made for skinny legged people.
The worst is the stiff fabric which makes no sense because it has to fit around a round part, the leg, that on a bike is in constant motion. Besides being too small and too rigid, the velcro is flimsy.

Tom uses a flexible fabric, dyneema, which little white lines are kind of reflective and Aplix hook and loop closure, which is tough.

A perfect match for a pant cuff!

if anyone could do it right it would be Tom Bihn. I have powerful legs so make mine extra big.
