I tend to carry my laptop in a soft case inside my backpack and so far, most of my backpacks have contained a pocket or strap inside that allows me to slip my laptop, in its soft case, in this space preventing it from moving about in the bag. I know you'll tell me that the Brain Cell can be fixed inside but I'm more interested in using a Soft Cell than a Brain Cell and having some way of keeping that attached to the inside of the bag...

hmmmm...
what if you sewed webbing loops onto the back side of the soft cell like the ones you find on the back of the brain cell? then you could attach it inside your smart alec using the annex clips.
this sounds like pretty simple surgery if you have a sewing machine.
tom, darcy,
any concerns over this approach?
thanks!-m

I thought I could look into sewing a wide elastic band (or two, perhaps one on the bottom and one closer to the top) inside the smart alec. That way I'm not dependent on a particular case...
