Questions - ID and Smart Alec

I'm trying to decide between these 2 bags.
I have a couple of minor questions- Some bags don't work as well for left-handed folk like me. The ID would be most likely to have handedness issues. Are there any?

Second, I think I know the answer to this but does either have a place to carry water? I've read there are hidden pockets on the smart alec- are they large enough to carry a bottle?

My notebook isn't small enough to fit into the buzz- that would be my perfect bag.

    Smart Alec ower

    Hi there-
The "handedness" question is a good one. The Smart Alec has a very accessible pocket on either side, near the bottom of the bag. It's very easy to reach back or just pull it around to grab something out of either side. The Smart Alec is surprisingly roomy, and could easily fit a small water bottle. I've stuck a 16 oz bottle in mine. I usually use those pockets for my rather large wallet on one side (with my passport slipped in the innner sleeve of the pocket) and an oval, hardsided sunglasses case on the other side.

Even with my oversized laptop in its protective Monolith, plus a filled Snake Charmer and various client files inside the main pocket, the damn bag STILL has room to spare on top, middle and sides. It is a wonder.
It's worth considering that your entire purpose in life could be to serve as a warning to others.
