Cordura + Wool Coat = Fuzzy Mess

    Hi all,
This is my first winter carrying Tom Bihn bags. While my EDC is my Ballistic Imago, which I looooove, I carry a Cafe Bag on the weekends. This weekend I discovered that Cordura and wool coats don't mix. I was annoyed by the constant fuzziness of my Cafe Bag, because the Cafe Bag seemed to attract the wool fibers like a magnet. Will carry Cafe Bag only when wearing non-wool coats and jackets.

Wonder if Tom Bihn could produce a Ballistic Cafe Bag, along with the previously requested Cafe Bag Organizer Inserts?

Yup: cordura is far rougher on clothes than Ballistic nylon. No matter what folks say, it will create problems with wool, certain kinds of stretch cotton clothes etc., They are not meant to be carried that much with finer or delicate clothes I feel; for those, leather is the best. And then you do pay the price for finer made leather goods--that don't weigh a tank!

The solution for both of you is going to be the new Ultra Suede Cafe Bags.

Soft, very stylish and thus all fabric proof and, still, animal friendly.

Too late for me; I can't justify buying a new Cafe Bag now that I've got the Synapse.

Hi backpack, do you know when this is coming out?

No, but it has been in the works.

I've been carrying my cordura bags for a few years now while wearing all kinds of fabrics (including wool) and haven't had any problems!

Ultrasuede, while soft and cozy, is a lint magnet.
Happy owner of a medium cocoa Cafe, small plum Cafe, plum/green Utility Tote, black/purple Lux, mini cork pouch, mini kiwi pouch, mini clear pouch, small blue pouch, assorted key straps, prototype Stuff Sacks, and navy/storm/sapphire Imago!

Re lint: Lint happens. I've observed that the heavy-gauge Cordura resists giving up cat hair. How does Ultrasuede perform in lint removal? Someone needs to rub a cat against both fabrics and report back.

Hey now, we don't condone animal testing here at TOM BIHN! And at the very least, I hope no one produces a video of this.
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Current carry: testing new potential materials in the form of Original Large Shop Bags.

Does this shot count as animal testing?!

Now I don't know Finley, but I bet if those bags were flat, Finley wouldn't hesitate to curl up and fall asleep. Or curl up inside. In fact Finley may not want to *stop* testing!
