    CAFE BAG (Med.) in orange

Has the Cafe Bag (M) ever come in cayenne or another orange shade? I'd love to have one like that. I think it'd be nice lined in something like a light khaki, a leaf green, wasabi...

I think orange is like the new tan and looks great on a lot of bags - as long as it's not too bright or day-glo. I also love rich reddish-oranges (TB color Cayenne is not far from this). They'd probably look great on a lot more bags too - if only more bag makers would utilize these colors.

Will TB add an orange to the Cafe Bag (M) anytime soon? I really hope so!!

I have a Medium Cafe Bag in Navy/Cayenne. I don't recall seeing Cayenne as a bag color, just as a lining color.
Bags: Latest: Pop Tote and Shop Bag (large) ; also have a Co-Pilot, Super Ego (w/cork seatbelt); Aeronaut; Medium Cafe Bag; Large Cafe Bag; Brain Cell; Shop Bag small, (Steel); Packing Cube Shoulder Bag. Accessories: Oh yeah, bunches.
Sadly Lost to Hazmat: An Imago in Steel/Cork & MCB in Linen/Olive.

      hi dzd!

      welcome to the forum!

the cayenne fabric is 500 denier cordura, which is well suited as an interior fabric. the cafe bags use 1000 denier cordura for the exterior, and is available in olive, plum, navy, storm, punch, indigo, cocoa, and black for the medium cafe bag.

Hi guys! Thanks for the info.

I actually love orange liners too - it's my favorite liner color (in most cases). I love the color contrast "pop" when orange is paired with colors like olive/green, navy, purple, etc.

So TB currently only uses Cayenne in 500D. I'm assuming that their fabric vendors must also have it (or a comparable shade) in 1000D. So... where's the rally for some orange TB bags? Are there so few fans of orange in the TB community?

TB, doesn't orange deserve to be on the outside, too?

Our Cayenne 500d is a color we had custom-produced - as are many of our colors/fabrics. Custom producing a fabric means lots of close work with a fabric mill and a big commitment - we must order a very large quantity of the custom fabric. Pretty much the only stock orange in the fabrics we use is a bright orange - the color of hunting vests. There are lesser quality fabrics that are available in a wider range of colors (I'm thinking of 1680d ballistic nylon) but we don't use those.
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

            Darcy,

You're still offering the Snake Charmer for sale in Olive, and that product uses a 500d fabric. Are those Snake Charmers only remnants of earlier production (when you had more 500d Cordura available in olive)? Any chance for more Cordura Organizer Pouches available in Olive 500d (not 1000d) Cordura? If so, I'll order some more pouches right away! (grin). I really like the finer grain Cordura for larger pouches (especially in the medium and large sizes, but even for the small size pouches).

Dzd, if you're a fan of cayenne, you might want to check out the Sleeves for Amazon Kindle 2 for a medium size pouch in gorgeous Cayenne ultra-suede. (Hint: you don't have to own a Kindle to use one of these pouches.)

We have a small amount of 500d Cordura left, and we may or may not continue with it. We'll see! I've requested that we add 500d Olive to the next batches of Cordura and Clear Organizer Pouches - great idea!

I see. Knowing this, I will appreciate even more the current TB fabrics and colors that I do like (especially the olive/cayenne and punch/wasabi combos). I still hope that there will be enough demand for a some cayenne Cafe Bags in the not-too-distant future.

Thanks for the tip, moriond. I didn't notice them before. It's nice to see how cayenne looks on something big and pouch-like - juicy! The Kindle sleeve can't substitute for a med. Cafe Bag, but I will definitely keep this pouch in mind for other possible needs!
