The vertical actually does fit, but it literally is right to the top of the bag.
I would certainly recommend horizontal first. But, if you already have a vertical it would work.

Thanks, backpack. Which one fits the new Little Swift? Did I read correctly that it's the horizontal? I'm hoping the vertical will work as well.

I "think" that you can use both, especially if you want one that fits in the Large and Medium Cafe Bags and the Small Swift.
In which case you would have to use it with the opening sideways for it to fit in the Small Swift.

I haven't seen them in person, so Darcy is the best source of info.
