    Brain Cell Zipper?

I searched the forums a couldn't find an answer. I greatly prefer the monolith zipper design over the Brain Cell velcro. What are the design reasons for making one in velcro and the other with a zipper. Since I carry an Empire Builder I have to go with the landscape option.

Not having seen the Monolith zipper I can't make too many assumptions but I too was suspicous of the velcro solution on the Braincell compared to the Monolith. Having used the Braincell for over a year I think it's a good solution. the velcro sticks properly as it should and at the same time is very easy to get into. And since the Braincell in my case is "always" riding inside either my ID or my Smart Alec it does make sense to have a zipper on the outer compartment and the easy access (adn easy singlehand access) on the inner Braincell. This would be the case with your Empire Builder as well.
As to why Tom Bihn made them like that, I have no idea

If you are not part of the solution you are part of the precipitate!
