I've had my buzz for a while now, well over a year, and it's seen some heavy use. I'm actually unsure of how long I've owned it, I'd say greater than or equal to 18 months.
My issue concerns that little velcro pouch on the strap that's intended for cell phones and mp3 players and the like. The 'velcro' (hook and loop) portion of it is.. quite simply, useless. >< Of course, it didn't start off life that way, it was worn out with heavy use. I have cracked my cellphone twice bending over to pick up pennies and tie shoe laces, and every single time I swing my bag 'round front, I slingshot whatever lives in that little pocket straight across the room. I've given up all use for it, which is causing me to miss many phone calls -- I don't mind that bit so much as the cracks in various casings and lost cellphones which were projectile shot across the room while set on 'silent ring'. *laugh*
Is there any way for this to be repaired? The buzz is my favorite day bag, and I'm spoiled by its extreme usefulness to that end.
Edit:
The bag still looks new! I hadn't realized until just now that, although the bag looks very very new, I've had it 'forever', and rely on it heavily.
I'd say that my Buzz is aging quite gracefully.
The fabric is still very bright, and the padded back is still stiff, however it has softened. The fabric overall has softened with use, but it doesn't have that worn out quality most of my bags have by now -- actually, most of my bags are dead by now. The seal at the zipper is finally starting to peel away from the zip, which is quite sad but to be expected. I imagine it's going to be less water proof now. It's not a full blown peel, more like the very edge is tearing off from the constant zipping/unzipping, and only in small spots here and there. The strips are about 1mm long, and it's not quite noticable.
I still get comments on the snappiness of it, and people are always asking me where I got the bag. I use the bag almost every day when I can.
Although, lately I've been using my Smart Alec, mostly because I use it for shopping and hauling packages to the post office.
I'm very impressed, suddenly. I hadn't realized how gracefully my bags were aging for me. That only makes me want to fix my bag even more.
