Hey!

This thread serves as a place to discuss new colors and designs recently added to the website. It's a good place to ask if new colors are coming, comment on new colors or designs we've just added, or post anything else you can think of.

Unfortunately the previous iteration of this thread is not recoverable without some other undesirable side effects (and not the bag!), so this is the new thread!

I’m posting @Darcy’s May 7 post on Alphaviolet

We’re using the remaining Alphaviolet 525d to make the following bags:

Pop Tote
Side Effect
Side Kick
Everyday Cubelet

(follow the links above to sign up to be notified when each item is restocked; date estimates are there, too!)

After that, Alphaviolet will officially be retired.

It's definitely a time of transition in terms of fabric and colors. We're working on a summary of upcoming changes... it'll be shared on the blog and in the newsletter, likely after our newly designed website debuts around mid-June

Was secretly hoping for Maker's Bag to be last minute addition since it shows up when searching "restock". Perhaps a last second addition?

nice - Brain Bags! Just planning my next buys and wondering, Darcy - do you ever foresee retiring the Brain Bags, at least in the near future, i.e., next year or so?

So... someone on the TB Facebook group pointed this out and they assumed it was a typo but I am not so sure...



Is there going to be a new 400d Halcyon in Viridian???

Darn it. It has been changed to Taiga 400d Halcyon, which makes sense. Oh well! I’d like to officially put my vote in for Viridian Halcyon, sounds lovely.

Thought I'd post what my perfect work back pack would look like... and hope that sometime in the future it will come...

What if a Brain Bag and a Synik got together and have a love child...

It would have:

• Brain Bag two main compartments.
  • Perhaps with the ability to unzip / roll out of the way the center divider making an uber large space when needed.
  • The two main compartment sizes would equal those on the Brain Bag so that full size 17" laptops among other stuff would fit.
  • Two cache / rail tie-downs loop pairs (one for each compartment).
  • NOTE: So no need for the dedicated laptop compartment in the Synik
• Brain Bag side compression straps to shrink it down when the extra depth is not needed.
• Brain Bag length (18" for those with a shorter torso).
• Brain Bag / Synik top grab handle.
• Brain Bag / Synik sternum straps.
• Synik outer / back pockets.
• Synik rolling luggage handle pass through.
• Synik clam shell opening for main compartment (just one, other could be top loaded or see note about roll-aside divider above).
• Synik tie downs for main compartment.
• Synik built-in / removable frame sheet.
• Volume: 35 liters (a guess more that a want)
• Grab handle located on one side (to allow for the pack to be carried briefcase style)
• Ability to secure the shoulder straps so that they don't flop around when caring the pack briefcase style.
• and...

Any how... just was dreaming...

Agree with all of that except I'd add a dedicated laptop/tablet side/top access like the Synik - otherwise 100% ... maybe the Trinity will be in this realm???

I used to not care as much about the dedicated laptop part, but using the TS has made me a believer, especially in a backpack where if the bag is full you can easily get your laptop from the side or when it's standing up below your knees in a tight space like a airplane seat, the ability to slide your laptop out from the top ... that's all pretty cool functionality I didn't think I'd like, but now love!
