Where are you looking? On the product page, below the photos where you select the colour, there are now updated photos of the bag in use and with various views inside. The ones of the Steel/Zest variant should give you a good idea of what's lined and what's not.

That is such an attractive bag. I'm sure the Techonaut is great but the symmetry of the Aeronaut really does it for me.

I'm likely not buying an Aeronaut because the Techonaut version works well for me (though I also miss the symmetry of that second pocket). My suggestion would be that the description and top product photos should be amended to explain and show clearly the new style of the interior. I believe this will save the company time in the long term, because it averts the risk of surprised customers and higher-than-normal returns.

GrussGott bijoux The change to the back (that we would notice vs the internal stitching) appears to be the addition of the trim to highlight the area where the buckle hides and a slight change to the shape of the material fold... it looks like what is on the Cambiata in that respect. I can say that it works fine on the Cambiata. There is also the trim at the top where the straps hide, just like before, so it's probably as smooth as it was before, but MikeV should be able to confirm if the buckle tucks completely inside.

I wanted to get you all some photos showing the back panel of the Aeronauts- the buckle is actually even more discreet than on the Cambiata- no tucking needed, the buckle is attached to the bottom seam, behind that back panel of fabric.

Here is the back panel with the backpack straps tucked away:

That wilderness looks so pretty but I just can't get past the blackout label!

dirkhaun - Ive now refreshed the page, from this morning (Im in the UK), and its now showing updated pics, I can now see its the bottom of the bag that isnt lined. As I think the 2 sides weren’t lined in the original version.

A thought, and might be controversial, but I wonder if TB considered leaving the interior looking the same, and just adding extra reinforcing to where it was needed. Either as a full side of exterior strength material, and adding the colourful interior lining on top, it couldn't add much weight and the looks would remain the same.

Actually, no top trim, just zipper.
I've attached a pic of my Aeronaut 30. It's definitely a completely smooth back.

                            You're right, zipper, not trim!

Thanks Mike, that works great for me!

Still pretty bummed about the interior though ... as I understand the change, it would mean if you got the black 1050D, then the interior of the main compartment will be black!

The funny thing is, it was TB that got me into the bright interior colors and so the thought of a dark interior lining seems like taking something away ... I do wish you could slap some halcyon in there

Yeah - You can tell Im still interested, as Im thinking, if I could ‘get’ some similar material and hand sew it into the bottom of the bag..Not ideal for a £300+ bag, but heh, Im still in the thinking stage here…
