Bags to fit Dell Inspiron 630m

    Hi there!

I'm trying to work out which of your bags will fit the Dell Inspiron 630m, is there any chance it could get added to the laptop bag fit guide?

Dimensions with standard battery (from the Dell website) are:

    13" x 9.6" x 1.5"
    (330.2mm x 243.84mm x 38.1mm)

If anyone knows what the extended battery adds to those dimensions I'd also be grateful to know that, as I've ordered the extended battery with mine so would be good to have a bag that could fit with that - the Dell website doesn't seem to want to tell me how big the extended battery is though so it's probably the size of a horse.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for you interest in our bags. It looks like the standard 630m will fit in our Size 4 Brain Cell, Monolith , or Soft Cell . I don't know how much the extended battery will add to the dimensions. The extended battery on my 700m sticks out the back 1". I don't know how much the regular battery would stick out. If the battery adds a full inch to the the 9.6" dimension, you'll need to go up to a Size 3 in the Brain Cell or the Soft Cell, but should be able to stick with a Size 4 in the Monolith because of where the bag has give.

I will get this laptop added to the website in the Size 4 category. Hopefully the extended battery won't be that big.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Have a great day!

Thanks for the response... just to check, looking at the size 4 monolith, the height of the internal dimensions on the website is 1.3in / 33mm - the height of the 630m (according to Dell) is 1.5in / 38mm - would that still be okay? I don't know how tightly your bags fit so whether that would cause a problem or not.

(particularly looking at the monolith and soft cell cases)

I'll let you know when it comes how big the extended battery is, I've seen a photo of it now it looks like 10-15mm out the back, but really poor photos so difficult to tell. That said, on the dimensions of the monolith at least there's room to spare on the depth (where the extended battery would add on on the 630m)

There is enough give so that small difference in the thickness will not be a problem. Thanks in advance for letting me know about the battery. That will be very helpful.

        Ciao.

thanks... one more question exterior dimensions of the size 4 monolith - the depth seems to be wrong somehow - interior 260mm exterior 263mm, is that right? the other sizes seem to add more than that so i'm guessing either the interior or exterior one there isn't quite right...

any confirmation of the actual depth of the size 4 monolith? i think it's going to be a tight fit with my existing back pack so need to know before I order...

Dimensions of the Size 4 Monolith

That exterior dimension of the Size 4 Monolith is actually 266.7mm or 10.5 inches. We'll be sure to get that information on the website changed to reflect the correct length. Thanks for pointing it out!
