I was thrilled to purchase a new FJN recently because it seemed like they would never be available again. That thrill has worn off since I recently noticed that the grab handles are different lengths. One is an inch longer than the other. That's quite a difference. This wasn't part of the original design because I've measured the handles on an original FJN (with aquaguard zipper sewn backwards) and both are the same size. It certainly isn't a desired improvement. Did anyone else get one like this in the recent batch?

The FJN grab handles should be symmetrical and the same length.
Send TB an email on that one so they came make it right - they'll issue a prepaid return label, make the repair no charge, and send it back to you on their dime.
When the coil zipper began to unravel on my Side Kick, they had me mail it back to them and perforemed a free repair to fix it.
But yeah, sounds like a QC issue that went unchecked. Sometimes stuff happens. I once bought a Luminary 15 and they incorrectly sewed the sternum strap slider onto the shoulder strap and because of this the strap couldn't lay flat. Weird, one off issue, and once they inspected it to arrive at the same realization, they sent out another right away.Last edited by Chicagoan; 12-24-2022, 09:20 AM.I own a LOT of Tom Bihn bags, but here are the ones I'm using right now:
