I appreciate that the out of stock note (per variety) was set up to immediately include the sell-out date & the note about new production, thanks TB Crew! Super helpful for folks.

Forgot all about the restock due to work. Got an email reminder from TB. I ordered the Ursa Ballistic/Moss Cerylon. The Ursa Ballistic/Tidal 200 Halcyon and the Aubergine Ballistic/Dusk 210 Cerylon were also tempting.

I ordered Ursa/Tidal but the Moss was also tempting! I haven’t seen Moss in person.
Also, Coyote and Dawn? Maybe next time for that combo. Something about it is calling me…
I got Ursa/Tidal in the last restock and it's a very nice combo. Although I will say (and I'm sure TB already has a lot of people bugging them) that this bag would be wicked in black halcyon...
The Side Hustle (Ursa Ballistic/Moss 210 Cerylon) I ordered arrived.
I am surprised at how structured the Side Hustle in ballistic is. I am ambivalent about the Moss 210 Cerylon lining. I MISS halcyon.
I like my Ursa/Moss SH, but I would have LOVED a 400d halcyon one - perfect blend of structure and flexibility.

I love my new bag! …but it does not live up to the measurements on the website. On the site, the Side Hustle specs say it’s 4.7” “deep” but I measured it and it’s only about 3” — close to the Side Kick. I’m definitely definitely keeping it but that was a surprise.
edit::: I inquired about the measurements and the response was “We measure our bags using the ASTM method, rather than from seam to seam” and got a link to an explanation here: https://forums.tombihn.com/forum/tom...nge#post347020

This drives me a little bit crazy. I ordered the SH to use as a small camera bag, and when searching for a padded camera insert, there is a BIG difference between the published 4.7 inches, and the actual available 3 inches of depth. Such a difference that there is no available camera insert to fit the narrow size, and I've had to put together plans to make my own.

I always have a Canon Powershot G7X Mark II 20.1MP on my person and keep it stored in a soft sided case (Canon EDC-100 Compact Camera Case) the brand specifically makes for that size camera - it fits fine in the SH, SK, CP, EC, etc.
I own a LOT of Tom Bihn bags, but here are the ones I'm using right now:
EDC: SK Day Hiking: Cambiata Car Travel: T45, SZTSB Plane Travel: N/A

I'm carrying a mirrorless Canon M50 and a couple of lenses, the goal is to have a divided insert that can keep each lens separate but accessible. I have a soft cover for the camera when I need to put it in a backpack, but the soft cover (and similar lens pouches) are very inconvenient when trying to access the camera quickly or change lenses without a safe surface to set everything down.

Gotcha. Yeah. The M50's a big boy.
TB doesn't have a very big portfolio of top access crossbody bags that have enough front to back depth to accommodate a camera insert or organizer.
Soft sided option would probably be a DLBC and the more structured option would be a MB...otherwise the bag is going to be either too small, too difficult to access, or both.
The LGD could probably fit the camera in its main compartment but that flap protected main zipper is hella clunky when you're trying to find and remove something quickly. It's also retired!
