    Blackened Zippers

Just a suggestion - my experience is that the zipper bodies which are plated black eventually wind up having the paint chip off a bit over time and use which makes the bags look worn. Am wondering if you guys ever considered offering zippers that were plain steel in color as they seem to look better over the long haul, IMO. Thanks!

I examined the zipper pulls on my swift today, and as far as I can tell they aren't painted black, but are powder coated. It is certainly a better coating than just paint, and doesn't look like it will be prone to chipping at all, short of doing something to the pull that would cause it to substantially mis-form. General wear and tear should not be an issue.

They are certainly well-made but having had a few Bihn bags, I can attest to the fact that the paint / powercoat / etc can and does chip with use. If the bag brushes against something hard this can happen. The fact is, with anything coated or painted, the paint can wear. I am just wondering if the company has ever considered plain metal for the zippers.
