    Why I love TOM BIHN

Recently, My friend took it upon herself to buy me a gift, so I decided to split the cost in adding a few sundry accessories to my growing Tom Bihniverse. A couple of pouches, a couple of keystraps, an Absolute strap, all for my far-overstuffed Ristretto. Seriously, I love this bag, and I take it everywhere that I go. Even to bed. The love I have for my bag borders on the clinical, but I digress.

In the order form, there's that little box meant for special requests. Everywhere I see them, I slip in little jokes, little notes, an attempt to make the person handling my order smile. This was no exception.

I love you, person reading this note!

Seriously, although I love everyone at Tom Bihn, I love you, the person reading this, the most of all.
Nothing ever happens when I write these, as... well, they aren't special instructions. It's an incorrect use of the form! I'm sure the closest thing to acknowledgement my notes have ever received was a sideways glance.

    Then my order arrived.

My, that's... a lot more than what I ordered. Let's take a closer look.

So that's a July 4th pouch, on an order made the day before the announcement about it's existence, the Secret-Club worthy FOT pouch, the requisite bookmark that's a bonus on all orders... and a card.

You know, I've always known that Tom Bihn is one of the best companies. But it's finally nice to have empirical proof of the matter.

This story is just one more example of why we all love the wonderful crew at Tom Bihn.

Something about the way Tom, Darcy, Katy, Eliam and the whole crew do things make them seem much more like family than a company.
D8uv may I steal your comments box idea from you?

Now I feel like I owe the crew at TB an apology for not having told them how much I appreciate them. Thank you all for making great stuff, and for caring about us, and the environment, and the dogs, and the stuff you make...does anyone have a tissue?

Well, now that I think about it this way, it makes sense...we all have a tendency to take family for granted!

Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

What Janine said. It's too late for me to figure out better words.

I just wanted to point out that Katy made a screensaver version of the "bookmark aka sticker" Tom Bihn logo image, as posted in the blog. I immediately downloaded it for my iPad, as described in the Tom Bihn Wallpaper for your iPad thread. My iPhone screensaver is holoholo's version of the logo customized for Hawaii. The colors in his picture are really luminescent on the screen.

I've been wondering what to do with all of my stickers - I'll start using them as bookmarks!
