Every now and then I like to run down the Blog here. Today that did not happen. I saw one page and that was it. I selected the "read more on the archives' which took me to a page of links, not previous blog entries. Why make it difficult? The topics on the right column seems like an improvement but the 'archives' seems like a hassle compared to the old way of just scrolling down the blog line. Also, the 'read more on the archives' took a few seconds to read because what SHOULD BE spaces(blanks) are actually a box character with an X in the middle making it very difficult to read (in Chrome), along with the other headings that use that same font on the archives page.
Welcome!

This links page is rather nifty, but it might be just as convenient to provide this on a side column--and continue to offer reverse chronological blog posts when you hit the "click for older blog posts" link.
I don't think I'm as put off as Thorn is, but I can see why he might feel frustrated. Maybe the older system is easier?
Thorn -- If you would like an easier way to view all the blog post headers, may I recommend using a blog feed (RSS feed) like Google Reader? You "subscribe" to blogs and such, and you read the headlines and typically the lead sentence or summary paragraph in the reader itself. Then if it sounds interesting, you click on the headline, and it takes you directly to the entry. That's how I keep up with TB blog posts.
THAT SAID, I want to thank you, Thorn, for bringing up this revamped blog, because it turns out Google Reader did NOT pick up any of the new blog posts from when the changeover happened. I had to resubscribe, and all of a sudden Google Reader showed me all the new posts since December 14--which makes me think that's when the change happened.
Anyone else using Google Reader, make sure to resubscribe using the TOM BIHN Blog: We make travel bags in Seattle, Washington address!

I fixed the links -- see the Archives page now. You'll see links that actually work to the Top 10 blog posts.
We're still making some tweaks to the blog design, so hang on, thorn and Lani!Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Thanks for the Archives page, Darcy. I just started reading the blog backwards, starting in October 2004.
