Forest/Forest/Steel Imago with Absolute strap on ebay!

This isn't my listing (I'm in Ontario), but I found this on ebay and wanted to share it here. It's been a long time since this colour was availble. I'd snag it myself, but I already own two in different, also no-longer-offered colours!

Tom Bihn Imago Messenger Bag - RARE Color | eBay

ps. I checked this part of the forum and it seemed safe to post ebay listings here. I hope I didn't get that wrong!
    Loving life with my Imago.

Here's a link for anyone who wonders why that Imago looks a bit odd

I can't find an image of that exact design after 2006. Our distinguished TB historians may be able to place it better.
    List under construction ....

      OK,

I wasn't planning to reply to this, but for those who are curious about the bag rodrigues describes, here's a picture. This dates back from the original 2006 release of the Imago, but it wasn't in the first batch of offered colors. I think the description is incorrect: it is Hunter/Steel/Steel in the Yang design of the Imago messenger. The cordura Imago models had the current curved flap design, dubbed "Yin", and the ballistic nylon versions used the flap design dubbed "Yang." Hunter (Green) ballistic nylon was added as a color option for the Imago and the then newly re-designed ID Bag in October 2006. They had earlier managed to get access to a small amount of Hunter green ballistic nylon, and they first offered this as a color option for a small number of Aeronaut bags. The interior for the Imago that is shown should be steel; I don't believe there was any other color option for that design.

In mid-January 2007, they updated the design of the Imago so that the strap re-design resembled the new arrangement of the ID Bag, and so that you could have the option of using the Absolute Strap or ID Messenger Strap instead. At the same time, the "Yin" design became the default flap design for both the cordura and ballistic nylon Imagos. Then, versions of the Imago with Cork flaps were released in May 2007.

A few bags in Hunter were still sold in 2008, although the material was no longer available for new bags by the end of 2007. I believe that this included a few Hunter Imagos in ballistic nylon, for the simple reason that this was another of those colors that didn't display well in the web page posts, and looked much better "in person". As an example, take a look at the Hunter/Cork/Sage Imago that I have shown in this post discussing the comparison of Forest and Hunter. The top picture, which was taken by eristick, is an accurate rendition of the color of my bag, and looks much better than the displayed color in any of the other web pictures of the bag at the time I bought it.
