Introducing Aubergine 1050d U.S. ballistic nylon

The Aeronaut in Aubergine.

Made for us in the U.S. and dyed to our specifications, our 1050 denier, high tenacity ballistic nylon is extraordinarily abrasion-resistant (it has twice the abrasion resistance of 1680 denier fabric). It’s used as the main exterior fabric of our travel bags, laptop bags, messenger bags, and briefcases.

All of our 1050d ballistic nylon fabric is custom-dyed to our specifications. Navy, Cardinal, Forest, Steel, and even Black are colors chosen by us and perfected by the mills we work with. Now we’ve added a sixth color: Aubergine. Described by Amy Singer as a deep raspberry purple, Aubergine is almost iridescent. We think we’ve managed to find a shade of purple that goes well with just about every color. It pairs especially well with our Steel, Wasabi, and Ultraviolet Dyneema/nylon (the fabric most often used to line bags made with an exterior of Aubergine 1050d ballistic nylon).

It's really an amazing color. We liked it "on the roll" but when we saw it made into a finished bag (first the Kit, then the Aeronaut) we were amazed.

The Western Flyer in Aubergine will ship sometime mid-late November.

Speachless! And that isn't easy for me.

It's a plot, I tell you, the purple ladies and guys are all fainting, after waking up they are all reaching for the CC, order, then check the UPS page every hour then dream of the new bags during those pesky sleeping hours.

I missed that Aubergine/Ultraviolet, another faint!

That's a handsome color! It satisfies a need for color as well as being understated enough to be neutral and play well with other colors. Looks like it would go well with forest and conifer bags, my favorites!

My wife and I saw the new color when we visited the factory last week and were given a tour. The color is stunning and more vibrant in person - on the roll and as part of a bag. It was pre-announced as a 'girly' color. I don't think it's girly at all and (as I negotiate with my wife) may buy a bag in that color.

This color has induced a state of perpetual swooning. Every time I see it, my knees become weak! THANK YOU Tom, Darcy, and whoever else picks colors. This one is amazing! It's my dream come true!

Aubergine / Wasabi Aeronaut and Aubergine LS are definitely on my list of must have bags. Still saving for my order though.
If a Aubergine/black/Wasabi Smart Alec were to be made into existence, I would also need to get one. most definitely.
As it is, if I wasn't in love with my Steel/UV WF, I would be trying to replace it, but I do love her just the way she is. Same thing if the Imago didnt belong to my son. An Aubergine/Hemp/Steel Imago may still need to come live with me.

Any Aubergine that comes here will give ALL of my other bags a run for their money. It's my TB Trump color.
