    Going to TB Store Tomorrow!

EEP! I'm going to the TB store tomorrow! I ended up scheduling a Seattle meeting for Monday late Friday afternoon. It only lasts an hour and a half, and a friend is going to meet me in Seattle to play the rest of the day. I just got off the phone with her, and she wants to go to the TB store (this is the sixth person I've introduced to TB products, ha). I'm so excited! I hope Katy and Brian have time to see me!

Meanwhile, let's have some fun? What should I look at? What should I buy? What's your dream list?

Katy & Brian, can we come by around 1pm? Hope so!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? This can't be happening! I only get down there a couple times a year now!

@dorayme, I know! Almost everything is on back order though! I can't wait to see Auvergne and wasabi!

Take a look at the Swifts and Little Swifts, since they're not on the list of bags you already own. (I've put in an order for the Little Swift in Aubergine). Try out any new color and fabric combinations that might interest you, and remember that you can ask for/get organizer pouches and wallets in color that you like. Based on your other color selections, you might like Azalea in a 3D Clear Organizer Cube or pouch. Azalea is beautiful against Indigo and Navy. Check out the new Aubergine combinations. You don't have an Imago, and that may not be your type of bag, but check out the Navy/Cork/Wasabi combination, and see whether they've made headway with the new Aubergine/Hemp/Steel bags. And if you are interested in that style of bag, try out the Quick-Adjust Messenger strap in person. I think it's a question of personal taste, but I find that more comfortable with the Imago than the standard strap – even if I'm not using it to carry the bag high on my back. It takes some adjusting to find out whether it's comfortable for you, and that's not something you can do via mail order!

Ask whether there are any new color combinations that are being considered, but that haven't made it yet to the web site. This is also a good opportunity to get a feel for the other fabric combinations and colors. For example, even if you don't want Nook or Kindle pouch, you can sample the Cocoa Ultrasuede and cork textures. (And if they have any of the old cayenne or leaf green medium size Ultrasuede pouches around that they used to sell for the Kindle, that could be pretty neat – the Cayenne Ultrasuede Is gorgeous, and would go well with you navy and black bags.)

I'd love to hear an opinion about how new color combinations like plum/UV look in the Synapse, or whether you think the steel in the Aubergine/Steel Co-Pilots look a bit dark. (I notice that you like the Indigo/Solar combinations – me too). Other things you might consider: a Kiwi Kit (color goes well with Indigo, and I use one in my Synapse), a Shop Bag if you don't have one. What's on your wish list?

Jealous that you'll have a chance to see everything – enjoy your visit and report back so we can experience it vicariously!

@moriond - Great advice! I'll be sure to share my thoughts after I return. I sure hope they're open!

I look forward to seeing the wasabi interior color. I loved solar because I can see inside my bags so well. It's a shame I don't have that in my co-pilot, but then again, I keep it so stuffed that not much of the interior shows anyway!

I love my navy and indigo bags, for sure. I love the forest as well, and I bet I'll fall equally in love with the aubergine based on pics I've seen so far. Good idea to get pouches, kits, and cubes to accent my current bags. I like most of the colors and would be happy with some of each! And you're right about the ultrasuede; it's so luxurious. I have a case for my kindle, but may have to get one anyway. I'm also thinking about a ristretto in the aubergine. I sure wish they have a wasabi interior on that one, though.

Interesting you should mention the imago. I actually bought one and then swapped it for another bag because I wasn't in love with the open feel of the messenger type bag. I adore the organization of my co-pilot and am incredibly excited they're thinking about coming out with a pilot bag. The water bottle pocket is so handy, and a huge seller for me. However, since I spurned the imago, I've found a travel mug that's spillproof, so the imago may be back in the mix! I love the contrasting textures.

I recommend checking out the travel tray if you haven't already. It made better sense to me after seeing it in person, and it's fun to wear as a hat in the store. :|

The store hours are Wed-Fri 10 to 4. BUT, they are open other hours by appointment. Call in the morning and ask.

Things to look (see - I'm confident they will accommodate your schedule) at - anything Aubergine.

And yes, tell us about your visit.

I hope to make it to the TB store one of these days.

Katy thank you so much! I'm excited to bring another friend along as well! Funny that my trip last week didn't work out and then this one turned up right away.

Okay everyone, my iPhone and iPad are poised for pics!

My friend and I had a great visit with Katy and Brian yesterday. I am now the proud owner of an aubergine/hemp/steel Imago! I also bought wasabi and aubergine pouches to go with it, as well as an absolute strap (of course). As promised, here are some pictures. I'm glad I took these with my great camera rather than iPhone. The colors came out very true to life. Here you go:

In the Imago, I have a medium pouch with toiletries such as a brush, hand sanitizer, etc.; a small pouch with my iPad/iPhone charger, earphones, and a usb drive; a mini pouch with punch cards and coupons; wallet; keys; a business card holder; folders; 100-page notebook; iPad in a leather case; sunglasses; iPhone (note how my cover matches the aubergine!) which fits into the size zipper pocket; grocery tote; sunglasses; camera in a case; a small and pen/pencil case in aubergine that I haven't filled up yet; and my coffee mug (looking quite complementary to the wasabi, I might add; and my Teavana purple travel tea mug is equally matchy!). My pens, pencils and highlighters clip nicely on the inside pocket. I have various papers in the back pocket to reach quickly while out. One nice surprise is that my badge fits perfectly in the other side zipper pocket so it's easily accessible in the morning as I'm walking into the office.

I had tried an Imago a couple of years ago and couldn't get it to work for me. This time, it seems everything fits very nicely. Funny how that happens! My only concern is that it looks so big on me. Being only 5' tall, even with the strap as short as it will go, it hangs to my knee, ha ha! No matter; I can always wear it cross-body if I'm walking very far. I opted not to share a self-portrait, though!

Great pics!! Thank you. I've been thinking about buying an aubergine/hemp/steel Imago and your photos were a big help - it is now definitely on my wish list.
