Question about the Brain Bag

Right now im looking to get a new bag for my 17" powerbook and school/work stuff. I really like the brain bag, but had one quick question about it. Does it still have the waist straps on it? I was reading on an older post that there was some talk of making them detachable. Did that ever happen? Its really the only thing I dont like on backpacks (my old backpack has them and they are the most annoying things ever).

The current waist strap on the Brain Bag is not removable. We are looking for ways to make the waist strap removable on the Brain Bag, but we can't promise that will happen anytime soon.
