I have Brain Bag (no Aeronaut yet) and I will just echo what the others have said. The Brain Bag is an excellent large daypack that can easily be configured for work and computer equipment. It holds a lot but its organization doesn't lend itself all that is needed for a week long trip even for a light traveler thus even though I haven't seen the Aeronaut except in pictures I'd recommend it. I'd also recommend http://www.onebag.com if you haven't already visited that site. All the best, Alan

Just to add to what Zephyroid said...
The things you put into the Brain bag lives there, they create cozy homes for themselves put up picket fences...
While the things in the Aeuronaut is In Transit from your closet at home to the closet at your friend's or your hotel.

The Aeuronaut will look sorta silly as a dayback and that is not what it's intended for, while that is just what the Brain Bag is, a large daypack. But on the other hand you will look a lot better going to your hotel

I just got my Aeuronaut and I'm looking forward to using it the next time I travel somewhere for more than a few hours, while every day I use the Smart Alec on my daily commute to school. I prefer the style of the Smart Alec to the Brain Bag and don't need the size, otherwise I would use the Brain Bag each day.

From my experience the Aeronaut is a better way to organise travel possessions such as clothes- in a manner that makes them easily accessible and wrinkle free. The Brain Bag is more effective as a daily Commuter bag and an overnighter in a pinch. What make the Aeronaut so great is the stashability of the shoulder straps
