Right now in my FJN I have nine months of two page per week planner pages and about 50-60 extra sheets of paper along with about 10-15 pages with important dates, quotes ( I collect them) and maps. It is stuffed.

I believe 100 pages and 2 sets of 5 index pages fit in the Field Journal Notebook.

I need to verify this because I only take 20-30 pages of the fabulous Neenah paper at a time.

I also place a 50 pages notepad on top of the pen pockets, not inside the ring mechanism.

I am going to pre-order one, but I wish I could have it next month. Anyways, quick question, I am going to be putting a planner inside what's the most sheets it will take or how thick is the maximum paper it will take or is recommended. Or does anyone know what size the rings are?

I'd guess that it just is in limbo for other things that need doing around their shop. There's a whole lot of sewing to make one of those. So if they need to gear up somewhere else, something gets set aside.

But if they do make something new, could be really neat.

So, has anyone placed an order yet for one of the new Field Journal Notebooks in the 420d HT Nylon Parapack?

All the answers may be contained in this post I was about to suck it up, purchase one and DIY my own iPad mini holder but when I went to order I realized the same thing you did.

I can't wait to see what comes out, with any hope it is all I have dreamt of, and neon green....

What's up with the Field Journal Notebook? I see it's currently listed as "Temporarily Unavailable," but I haven't been able to find anything on the blog or in the forum about why. Is it being redesigned?
