    Double Carabiner, 4 thumbs up!

I got my first Double Carabiner with my Knitting Tool Pouches, in gorgeous Aubergine.

Genius construction with a rotating device between the two carabiners, who would have thought? Tom did.

I pressed the side of the apparatus wondering if I would need pliers but, no, the opening and closing mechanism is so easy, the design is so smart. the whole setup is really light as well as unobtrusive and the material feels really really soft.

Get plenty before I am ready for another order.

They will be replacing all the clunky imported ones on my EDC's and Travel Bags.

I got my knitting pouches in Aubergine too -- so pretty!!!
Since I am that person who uses S-biners for everything, I got a little carried away and ordered five of the new double carabiners. I keep one permanently attached to my umbrella's wrist loop so that I can hang it up on the bus when it's wet (hooks onto the window frame, or can be clipped back on the loop to hang it off of the seat back). The rotating design is very clever! I can't wait to figure out new uses for these and will probably buy a bunch more too.

I ordered a bunch of these babies also and they are all in use. Two are suspending an SE in the top part of my S25. A bunch of other ones are part of a jerry-rigged suspension system for our cameras. With a combination of long key straps and double carabiners we have figured out how to hang our cameras off the shoulder straps of our backpacks.

I originally posted about the Double Carrabiner clips in Ms. Ferret's Side Effect + S-Biners as Seat Pocket Bag thread, but didn't post any pictures. Here's a few examples of their use:Click image for larger version

The close up shows the way the top and bottom clips can rotate to match the best orientation to the attached points.

There are also some pictures in jmoz's Way to Piggyback a Co-pilot(Pilot) on a Tri-Star thread that shows how you can attach a Co-Pilot to the straps loops of a Western Flyer or Tri-Star if you want to do a Piggyback carry.

However, the Double Carabiner Clips are actually even neater to use, because you can attach both snap hook pouches and Knitting Tool Pouches with O-Rings to slide along the clips. This is because the plastic molded loop of the Double Carabiner clips are both smooth, and slightly flattened, so you can hook the snap rings on and have them slide. Sorry I haven't taken a picture I can post of this, but the comment was in my post in Ms, Ferret's thread.

Super - the photos really help me envision what you're talking about. That swivel function is nifty. I have the Side Effect, and the Double CarraBihners, thanks to your recommendation. I even have a Nexus 7 to fit in the SE. All that's missing is more legroom for a tall person. ;-)

So where can we buy these clips?

Imzee, I don't see them right now but I found mine on the accessories page, toward the bottom in the parts section. Also a quick call to TB will get you what you need.

On this page, click on the "Select Your Part" dropdown box. The Double Carribiner is listed nearly at the bottom for $1 each. They are a bargain. I got 2, then came back for more.

Just wanted to add that I posted a picture of the way snap hook pouches (specifically the Clear Organizer Wallets) can attach to the Double Carabiners in the Clear Organizer Wallets in HT 420d Parapack? thread. The snap hook pouches slide fairly easily along the molded plastic loops of the Double Carabiners.
